This thread has been created to consolidate the political discussions into one thread.

Posting about Biden’s presidency in the Trump Year IV thread diminishes and tarnishes the Trump Thread.

Instead of posting in the Trump IV thread, the Biden Healthcare thread, and the Riots thread, let’s consolidate all of this into one new thread.

It will take effort and resolve.

Although Trump is gone -- the spirit that got him elected in 2016 is undiminished. The loss of House seats by the Dems is proof of that.

Beancooker, what kind of confused logic led you to believe that creating this thread even remotely jibed with Para's wishes?

I hope Para deletes it. In fact I'd ask him to nuke it.

I'm not saying this is the best idea ever put forth. I do think that posting about Biden in the Trump thread shits on that thread,. I also think having discussions posted in three or more threads, is just messy and unorganized. If we are going to have discussion about it, which there will be, it should be kept to one thread instead of having multiple threads for the staff (Para) to have to babysit.

As far as Para deciding this, he said he wants no part in the political discussions. Maybe I was wrong for doing so, but I am simply trying to help by getting everything in one place and hoping that the Trump IV thread is not disgraced with days/weeks/months/years of people talking about Biden. I did this with the best of intentions.

But as the old saying goes: "The road to hell was paved with the best of intentions".

It's not a bad idea, but the aesthetics of it is depressing. Could we call it the Biden Cuckoldry thread?

If this is turning into a popular vote, then here’s mine:

Wishing and wanting doesn’t change who is living in the White House, what his name is, or the fact that we will be exposed to both facts on a daily basis for as long as that man remains in office.

I will continue to honor the memory of President Trump’s accomplishments, but his presidency has ended and I agree that discussions about Biden and the future should not sully the other thread.

I'm happy to change the name of the thread.

I don't want to change the title to something like "Cuckoldry" as that also is a direct reference to pornography, and I don't think that would be considered acceptable by Para. He has asked that we do not swear in thread titles. I think with the amount of knowledge on Sigforum, we can come up with a great title, that also meets the standards of conduct on the forum.

You all pick the title. I'll change it to whatever everyone prefers. I don't wish to change it to something that gets me in Para's crosshairs. Not a place I ever wish to be.

Seeing Biden in the title is repulsive and sicking.

Also you are cherry picking the fuck out of what Para said. He also said politics was part of this forum and would remain so. He won’t participate unless he has to as a mod. Which he also said if it comes to that we won’t like it.

Beancooker - I agree that the Trump thread should not be 'soiled' with any posts referring to the America Hating Leftist GDC's now in charge at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, but the current thread title conveys far to much legitimacy to the current pretenders at the helm of the ruling criminal enterprise that is the US Government.

And as I could point out to that member who just outed himself with his rant about the previous Administration, if one is supposedly here just to talk about guns, there are sections that are clearly set aside for those discussions.

I am no more happy than anyone else here that we found a pile of road apples by the tree rather than the pony, but refusing to recognize reality doesn’t change it.
