To make it clear this isn’t an investment to me any more than a lottery ticket is. But on a whim I put a couple hundred in several months ago and have been enjoying the hype and growth. I’ve made a couple grand but figure I’m going to let it ride since I really don’t care about the initial investment and I’m curious to see where this goes.
I understand that since there’s no cap on the amount of coins it can’t ever be that valuable but it’s also interesting to see more and more places accepting the coin as payment. Anyone else enjoying the stupid ride?

I bought mine on Robinhood but if I was going to do it over again I’d use another service like Coinbase or uphold. Since I don’t plan on spending doge I’m not too upset that I am using RH but I’d prefer having a wallet.

I had two bitcoins I bought back in ‘13 when I got divorced. I ended up selling it in ‘19 to pay off stuff.
Should’ve kept them.
See this is what’s keeping me in Doge. I know it’s never going to be anything close to Bitcoin value but I also don’t want to miss out on some massive increase. I’ve got a number in my head that’s likely never going to happen, but that no matter what I’d be happy if I cashed out at.
It’s a casino to me. Win big or go home. But I’m also not gambling more than I can afford to lose.

I turned $5 into $25 on Doge and sold. I bought $50 more and after Elon hosts SNL and most likely mentions it I'll sell again. Doge is one crypto I doubt will sustain the gains but nobody can really predict crypto accurately. I've got $100 in ethereun that is now at $155. Crypto and stocks on Robin hood are now the new scratch off lotto tickets. It's easy to play, some people hit it big and it takes no knowledge or research to play.
I put $100 into DOGE last Thursday. It's a scratch off lottery ticket as has been said. It's fun to watch. We'll see what happens. It really took off last night.

My son bought about 2500 in Doge when it was 5 cents to about 20 cents and has over 20K. I bought it at 29 cents and invested about 270.00 and I am up to 445.00 so maybe I should have listened to him earlier in the year but I am happy with the gains.

You've brought up a "sore" subject. My little brother bought in at .003 about a year ago. I don't remember him telling me about it but then again we talk about different "flyers" that we've purchased pretty often so he might've told me about it....
I bought some at .05 and have been enjoying the ride. I recently sold off enough to cover my initial outlay so all my remaining Doge is "house money".
My little brother is wishing he'd bought more at .003!

Invested $16.95 between January and February, cashed out $363 this morning. I bought it mostly as a joke at roughly .027, don't regret cashing out at .60.
I have been thinking I'd like to invest a small amount into crypto currency, but I'm pretty confused as to how to get started. I see recommendations that I buy a Bitcoin wallet rather than in vesting through something like Robinhood or Coinbase. For the small amount I will invest, I don't know if this is necessary. But I would be interested in hearing opinions from someone more knowledgeable than me.

My FFL told be to get into Bitcoin back when it was still under $1,000. He was sinking considerable coin into it.
He's retired now and quit handling my transfers.... Wish I had listened.
I had some neglibable money left in various dead cryptos last year when everything crashed, and I bought some bitcoin. I now have .0002 left, because APMEX accepts bitcoin, and I got out of Bitcoin a while back at ~$64300. Feels great.
I do wish I had played around with Dogecoin back a few months ago when people were talking about it, but I was busy waiting for Bitcoin to peak.
