Exactly, like the tire accident with two fatalities last week. I listen in on the scanner and there is so much going on out there, definitely worse than it used to be.

I watched a guy taxi his B36TC (turbocharged longer fuselage Bonanza) right on the yellow taxi line and smack his wingtip into the spinner of another airplane tied down in a tie down spot along the taxiway. I guess on a checkride one might want to get religious about nailing the yellow line, but I’ve always felt that it was more important not to hit anything. I’ve also always felt that being perfectly on the yellow line isn’t an excuse for hitting someone else. If the RJ was too far back the 350 pilot should have either gone around if he had room, asked the RJ pilot to pull up, or advised the ground controller and waited until the RJ was out of the way.

I sent an email to Juan Brown a few weeks back inquiring about a C421 that crashed on approach into SBS....Steamboat Colorado a few months back. I have never found his analysis of this accident. Anyone seen a debriefing on this event?

Thanks. I had spoken with this pilot a week or two before this accident. He was instrumental in building new hangars out at the KLMO (Longmont) airport. He was a very pleasant fellow. Sad.
