I'd like to watch some of the out of market football games. Most of them are available via the CBS all access streaming service. I've never streamed a show in my life and really have no clue what to do. It seems clear I can't access CBS all access through my computer (or at least I can't figure out how to make that happen - help appreciated). It appears I can stream using Apple TV or a fire stick. My daughter has me assigned on her Amazon prime account (not sure how that works) so I assume I have access as a Prime Member. I have a home theater system set up with 4 open HDMI slots on the Yamaha receiver. What's the easiest system to set up between the two? Once I get everything set up, how do I actually access the streaming service via the device? Suggestions welcome. Thanks Speak softly and carry a

I believe, unless you buy from the NFL, all other streaming services may not be 100% legal for regional games (blacked out locally). For off network sponsored games, Direct TV might be your best option. You're going to pay through the nose though. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. I have sony PSVUE tv. They have different TV packages on their website and you can stream it through any device such as: Roku (I use), Apple TV, Firestick, PlayStation 3/4, and others to your TV from the internet, can also stream it on a tablet. It has all of the sports channels. You can buy the NFL ticket for a nominal fee and get all of the NFL games. www.psvue.com

This. I am a recent cord-cutter and have ATT TV (formerly Direct TV now). Basically its just like cable TV but delivered over high-speed internet connection. I pay $5 extra per moth to include HBO. I also use Roku. Way better interface than the Samsung smart TV. Also much cheaper than the Apple TV, and easier to use (at least compared to the older model of Apple TV dating from late 2000's). And I think jimmy is right that Sunday ticket is the only way to be sure and stream all non-market NFL games - although Im certainly not going to pay to watch my hapless Dolphins play this season The way streaming TV works is that a device like Roku (and Apple TV, etc) has different "applications" that can be used to access different services. Many smart TVs have interfaces for these services as well but it really varies from manufacture to manufacturer how well they perform. I like Roku and you can get a high def / 4k Roku Premiere for under $40 on Amazon. This is what I use. Other streaming live TV services include Sling, YouTubeTV, PlayStation Due like jimmy uses, Philo, Hulu+ Live TV Compare the channel lineups here https://www.pcmag.com/roundup/...o-streaming-services https://www.tomsguide.com/us/b...ces,review-2625.html https://thestreamable.com/live-tv-streaming https://clark.com/technology/t...reaming-tv-services/ I see you are in Raleigh (I am nearby in Apex). YouTube TV in theory includes the ACC Network, but no access to discounted HBO like ATTTV YoututbeTV offeres a free 7 day trial period. Other streaming services are also available for viewing on Roku...Netflix, Amazon Prime... A lot of new services are set to come on line this Fall (Disney+ Nov 12, Apple TV+ Nov 1). All the former cable TV only premium stations (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax...) also offer streaming services Please PM me if you have other questions you want to ask JB

These threads come up frequently. YMMV and all depends on what you want to watch. I dropped Cox Cable TV and kept the Internet access for about $98 per month or so. Then I subscribed to Fubo.tv for about $55. Not as slick as Cox with their recorder, but I still can record shows and seasons easily and play them back. Even the fast forward is better than Cox was. Also subscribed to Pluto TV (Free). I already was paying for Amazon Prime and Netflix. I already had an Amazon Firestick. My AT&T wireless plan includes HBO Go so I have access to that content. I cut my bill about $90 to $100 per month, and I'm getting a lot of options for Pro and College Football.
