Live long and prosper |
This just showed up in our news, apologies but with my phone is too much trouble to post links. The “Huinca Bajo” is a B-25 that was bought and brought to Argentina in the early 60s when a smuggler decided it would be a good idea to use it as a cargo plane (posing as a very particular crop duster). The plane flew for 10 years while authorities looked the other way until it left the runway by accident and the cargo was discovered. Nobody claimed ownership and it was abandoned for a while then was brought back to life for useful purposes until it became too expensive to keep running. Now someone decided it is worth all the trouble to restore. Just found there are many videos on Huinca Bajo on the net and a FB page… Hope it is worth your time and entertainment. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20 | ||

Page late and a dollar short |
This one (B-25J-25-NC SN 44-30733 "Sandbar Mitchell) is undergoing restoration about twenty miles from here. I’m acquainted with Patrick, the driving force behind its acquisition and restoration which they hope to have airworthy in the future. It’s also mentioned in the Aircraft Bios section in the static part of the cited article. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A.
