How to make a QR code for your business
Anyone proficient in creating QR codes, or is there a web page/app that does it.

Thinking for Calif Phil's mural it would be cool to have a QR code that links to the Mural, it's creation, eventually when it's done, telling the story, his FB page, web page phone number etc...

Paint in the black area, people driving by could snap up the QR code and information.... Ya know interaction digitally via social media is it!

There are any number of iOS and Android phone apps that will allow you to create a QR code. Some of them are free. Printing it out from a phone is sometimes a challenge. A google search for "create QR code" turns up several sites that promise to do such.

Making it "big" to put on the side of a building is another challenge. I don't think most people would want to try to hand paint one!

Usually, scanning a QR code simply takes you to a website so the marketing information you want to display would be on the site, not embedded in the code itself.

I just Googled 'free QR code generator' to make up a couple I needed. The process is really simple.

There are plenty of code generators online.

A couple years back I made QR codes for 100 pieces of equipment in the field. I had a local print shop put the codes on 2x2 steel plates that we attached to the equipment.

It allows the equipment owners to scan the code and pull up the equipment in SAP. People are inherently lazy and are more apt to use what comes easy. The QR codes worked well.

I just went through heck getting the engines generators and gears on the boat I run all loaded into MTU online. This is for fluid sampling.
During this process I noticed I can get QR codes to affix to each component. I'm not going to do that but I can see how it would be great for companies that have lots of equipment out there.
