Where I live, I have noticed that Wednesdays for some reason is very light traffic all day, but especially in the early morning, like almost no one on the road.

Strangely Friday mornings early is also light, but mid morning everyone and their retarded uncle is on the road! By late afternoon it is impossible to get anywhere.

OK now a rant. Why the fuck can't people drive? I mean really?! What is their malfunction?

I had an asshole almost take the bumper off my bus this week. I had a guy let me out into traffic and the asshole behind him crossed the double yellow line, pass him, cut me off, almost taking my front bumper off, slam on his brakes to a dead stop, where I almost hit him! Then 20 minutes later 8 miles away on a different road the same asshole ran a stop sign on a cross street, right in front of me where I had to do emergency braking and again almost hit this fuck head!

Then the next day, I'm picking up kids, on a hill, blind curves and some POS ran my stop arm, doing like 50 MPH in a 35 MPH speed zone, no passing area almost hitting a kid! No License plate on the car.

I hate fucking assholes that can't drive!

Question:
So, where you live is there a day that is better?

Choices:
Yes
No
Are you crazy?
About the same
What?

Houston, so most normal days are all about the same. Weekends a bit better, earlier in the day.
Federal holidays & school breaks tend to lighten it up some.

Definitely! Traffic is much lighter on non-school days, when there are no big yellow busses clogging the streets.

Inside the DC beltway you are in for a slow roll pretty much every day of the week. The Interstates have pretty much become the worst routes through town with the beltway itself being the worst of the worst. Not that it stops at the beltway, I-95 between Richmond and Philly is usually a parking lot.

Mrs. A. and I are going to the beach (Rehoboth) in a couple of weeks. We are hoping to leave by 4:30AM to face no more than heavy traffic.

Not on the survey, but the only days where traffic is better are the ones when you don't have to go anywhere.

We all like better gas mileage, but there can be benefit to a larger vehicle. You are a little less likely to be crowded, then if something were to happen, more cushion around you.

I get to set my own hours... 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM (no lunch) works great for me. But every day pretty much sucks for 7:00 AM on around here.

A significant number of folks are still on hybrid schedules. Friday seems to be the day that's universally an at home day on a 4/1 or 3/2 schedule so Friday morning is lighter during the morning commute. Friday afternoon starts the weekend getaway traffic so it can get messy.

I finally succumbed to being an old man. I shop at Krogers on weekdays at ten am with all the other old people! I plan my day so I'm not driving between four and six thirty pm.
Mind you, I can drive as aggressively as anyone,it's just not much fun anymore, I've got all day!!

It’s nuts here, any time of day, any day of the week. Everyone is on the phone and they are all brain dead.

The first year of Covid was terrific for me as a delivery driver. Hardly any traffic to deal with cuz people were scared to leave their homes.

Around here, Thursdays are when afternoon traffic starts to get hectic with people going on 3-day weekends. Fridays are worse, starting around 1pm. Saturdays are bad cuz my town is a pass-through to get to Bodega Bay, so traffic is high morning and afternoon. Sunday mornings are deader than disco but build in the afternoons as people return home.

Traffic just keeps getting worse here.
Yesterday, there were two cars ahead of me at the light while I was trying to turn into the Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone.
Total madness!

Humble brag. I like my small town.
