First time in America too!

They had a great time! No BBQ today though, this was short notice.
My Ukrainian was passing through with these two and wanted to show them how Americans live... Big Grin

In your last pic , what gun is the guy in the white tee shooting? Is that a colt woodsman?

PS, very cool introducing foreigners to shooting.

I work with the engineers for a company that makes a big robot.
They're doing installs and bring more with them from Israel.
I'm a must see stop on their journey here.

Do full grown Isrealis need an introduction to shooting? They do have compulsory military service after all.

OK
All the guys were raised in Israel. The Uke moved to Israel at 10.
The Russian guy moved there at 3.
And the other is a native Israeli.

Yes they get rifle training. Unless you're infantry or patrolling the cities, they get enough training to fight of something happens.

Now to handguns. They receive no handgun training. Only special operations soldiers and officers get a sidearm is how it was explained to me.
The Russian and the native were Air Force.
The Uke was a tank gunner.

I had to train them how to use the handguns.
But they had safety drilled into their heads in service.
Revolvers were very foreign to them.
They were proficient with the 22 bolt guns though.

I got another message from them today thanking me for my hospitality.
I told them next time give me a little more advance notice and some of my Sig buddies would like to come shoot with them.

Sounds like fun!

It'd be kinda cool to get their thoughts on an Israeli made Desert Eagle in 50AE.

They got to play with the Israeli 44 mag last April at my International BBQ and Pistol Shoot.

Or the US LAR Grizzly (overgrown 1911) in the same caliber. (I have both.)
