Who can forget Phoebe Cates climbing out of that swimming pool, or Jennifer Beals eating lobster?

Kathleen Turner in Body Heat. She was so hot she could have convinced a guy to commit murder even if it wasn’t in the script.

Kathleen was at the college I attended in 1973-1975, Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, MO, now called Missouri State. I saw her at the student union. She was quite the looker at 19 years old.
John Goodman was there at the same time. There was a brawl at a party and John was there. It started over a girl and my buddy said something that led to the fight. There was even Kung Fu fighting, and somebody got a barbell on his neck.

I watched Gilda again last night on youtube. At least in that movie, that was some bad woman.
Rita Hayworth was damn sexy.
Grace Kelly was an amazing beauty.
My perfect movie woman? Donna Reed in It's a Wonderful Life.

I think the whole premise of this thread is flawed, because people tend to mix up “pretty”, “cute” and “sexy”.
Pretty: classic, immortal beauty. She is not achievable, and you don’t want to achieve her, as she is on another plane. Utmost example: Grace Kelly, the most beautiful woman to have ever lived. Or Elizabeth of Austria.
Cute: A mid-point between pretty and sexy, of sorts. You may or may not be able to date her, but she’s too doll-like for you to be really attracted to her. See: Audrey Hepburn, Irene Jacob, Isobel Campbell etc.
Sexy: You want to undress yourself with your teeth, right here and now. You don’t care if she’s marriage material (she’s likely not), but to the hell with consequences: you *have* to have this woman. See: Ana de Armas, Marilyn Monroe, Sidney Sweeney etc.

So many mentioned and I'm going to add Julie Newmar as Catwoman.

^^^Julie got my vote for sexiest TV actress back on page 2. Rumor is that in her prime (think Catwoman days); 39-24-37. Kudos to TigerDore for bringing Victoria Principal into the discussion. My sole reason for watching "Dallas" when I did.

Eva Mendes has that look that gave me "the hottest woman that would make your life a living hell" kind of vibe. But man...
Lots of good names mentioned but for me, Rhona Mitra from seasons 1-2 of Boston Legal as well as Kim Bassinger from LA Confidential (and other movies).
