Since there was 0 flu cases last year these numbers can be subtracted from the covid totals.
quote:
CDC estimates that the burden of illness during the 2019–2020 season was moderate with an estimated 38 million people sick with flu
"18 million visits to a health care provider for flu, 400,000 hospitalizations for flu, and 22,000 flu deaths"
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2019-2020.htmlIt took them this long to realize- There were no flu cases last year, I wonder why?

Majority Of Hospitalized Covid Patients In UK Only Tested Positive After Admission: Leaked NHS Data

We had a vendor break or sprain his ankle at work last week. He went to the hospital, tested positive. I wonder if he was a COVID admission in the count? Subsequently we quarantined 7 employees who had contact with the vendor. Three were positive. No one had symptoms. How are you sick if you're not sick?

I'll trade y'all Brits if that's your metric, here in the US they only seem to care about infection counts, which is pretty much worthless.

Exactly. Don’t you know, there were zero cases of the flu and zero flu deaths in 2020?

These pricks were cooking the books the entire time and I’ll bet you at least half of US Covid deaths were flu which we always have deaths associated with. I think just the previous year something like 200,000 people died of the regular old flu.
Makes you wonder how far this sham really goes?
200,000 deaths from regular flu? Nope. Deaths from seasonal flu averaged 36,000 annually for the last 10 years, ranging from 12,000 to 61,000 per year

CDC to recommend some vaccinated people wear masks indoors: By Jackie SaloJuly 27, 2021 | 10:32am | Updated
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to issue new guidelines Tuesday that recommend fully vaccinated people wear face masks again in some indoor settings, according to a report.
The new guidance would mark a change of course for the agency after it gave the green light in May for vaccinated people to ditch their masks, the New York Times reported.
The change comes amid the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant, which has driven surges across the country and now comprises around 83 percent of cases nationwide, according to the CDC.

Was that death with the flu, or death due to flu?
Because it seems that the government is counting deaths with covid for their statistics as opposed to deaths due to covid. I also believe that people are being tested for covid when admitted to the hospital regardless of symptoms. Wouldn't that change the flu statistics if we did the same for that? Especially considering that roughly a third of all of those infected with flu are asymptomatic.

cne32507This is a useful link:
Hospital stats. Disclaimer: I do not know how these stats were gathered or if they are accurate.
The interesting thing about this site is you can
enter a state and county and it will return the local and surrounding hospitals. The number of beds, number of patients (7-day average), number of COVID patients, number of emergency room visits, the number that tested positive are shown. In Escambia County Florida, one can see that the COVID cases identified are not insignificant but certainly not overwhelming the hospitals. At Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, about 1/4 of ER visits tested positive, but few were admitted. Of course, a COVID patient could be admitted by their physician without going through the ER. The 7-day average of hospitalized COVID patients is small.

cne32507Our condo is having a unit fire sprinkler inspection this week. At least 2 adults will enter our 1200 ft condo and inspect every room with a sprinkler. We will probably be inside as I am nervous about strangers entering when I am absent (locked gun closet). We do not wear masks about town here but what should I do re masks in this close proximity with strangers?

wcb6092To Defeat Delta Variant, Experts Recommend Doing All The Things That Didn't Work The First Time
https://babylonbee.com/news/to...-work-the-first-timeU.S.—To defeat the massive, scary, definitely world-ending wave of COVID being driven by the delta variant of the deadly, frightening disease you should remain afraid of for the rest of your life, experts are recommending we try all the things that didn't work the first time.
From wearing masks and social distancing to locking everyone down and destroying the economy, experts are all suggesting that we just try the same things we did last time that didn't work at all.
"We are going to lock down, wear masks, and social distance, all of which didn't work, but hey. It's worth trying again," said Dr. Anthony Fauci in a television interview this morning. "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. That's what they taught us in science school. Look at my lab coat. It's white. Do you like it? It has pockets."
The television anchor then assured Dr. Fauci that his pockets were very nice.
"Thanks. I also have the heartbeat thingy. I like to breathe on it to warm it up. Makes me look official and doctory and whatnot."
At publishing time, experts had clarified that while we're going to be doing the same things that didn't work over and over again, we're going to be doing them harder this time.

medic451Got diagnosed with Covid on Sunday after waking up with a low grade fever. Got vaccinated with Pfizer back in Jan. Basically felt like I had a hangover- body aches/headache, fever never got above 100.1- which some say isnt even a true fever. Dayquil took care of most of the symptoms. On monday mostly same symptoms, but only took Tylenol for the headache- nose and throat werent much of an issue but my taste buds did dull a bit. Woke up today- no fever, bit of a sinus type headache, so not too shabby.
So on one hand as a paramedic in LA County whos seen hundreds of Covid cases, Im thankful mine isnt that bad. My wife took both kids to get tested yesterday, they were sick a week ago but no fever so its possible they had it and gave it to me- who knows.
So yeah the vaccine doesnt stop you from contracting the virus, but I am getting along much better than most who didnt get it. Crossing my fingers Im over the worst of it.

Are you? Considering that most who get this really don't have major symptoms.
One of my guys is a paramedic and they had vaccine material left over which was offered to his family. His oldest son contracted covid post vaccination from his girlfriend and her family. They all got it.
Boy was vaccinated. Girl was not. Identical mild symptoms.
