Situations such as this create opportunity in other areas. Flexibility and the willingness to work go a long way. Many small business entrepreneurs have that drive. I learned that after Katrina that if you were in the military or worked for the government you were taken care of and had no lost wages. I was not in that category and had to fend for myself. I survived and am stronger for it. I would like to hear more about Resilence in the press.

I work for a large defense contractor, and they have basically just banned all non-essential travel at this point. We were also told that any upcoming conferences that we host at our facility for our government customers were also cancelled for the foreseeable future.

In Tennessee...
coronavirus=1 person sick.
Tornadoes= 24+ People dead.
This puts things in perspective for me

. Lefse is a soft tortilla made from potatoes, it is eaten buttered ,sugared and rolled up. They are actually pretty good. My tribe leans toward Kumla, ham and Kringlas.

oldbill123As people change their behavior to avoid contact, there is a chance the change will become permanent.
Maybe after a month, one decides they don't miss going to the movie, sporting event or bar as much as they thought. Could be permanent changes if this gets bad.
Maybe more people will stay stay at home and drink and save money

they're gonna lose $100 BILLION dollars because of this flu
here's a question...how do you loose $100 Billion that you never had in the first place?
it might be potential (future) revenue, but it certainly isn't cash in hand today that all of a sudden went poof
and its not like the airlines have ever made much money anyway...even if they made the $100 BILLION, chances are they'd still be operating in bankruptcy

XLTMy friend works in a local bank and they are seeing a higher number of people cleaning out there bank accounts in cash. wife went to Costco tonight and they had more people then she has ever seen restocking shelves.
