Another silver lining is that the Bloomberg Bullshit Anti-Gun Brigade haven't really reared its ugly head in the last week. And more Americans figuring out that govt. will not automatically protect them.

You can handle it. I can handle it. Maybe they’re worried about a bunch of boys in the hood kind of going on a drunken rampage, although they have other things to stoke their anger with beside booze

Just saw a video of a trainload of what looked like National Guard vehicles going into Chicago.

Lil Andy (Kentucky's new totalitarian governor) announced today that all liquor stores must close. But, he will allow liquor to be delivered to your home. Smile Win-Win?

Checkin' in from the front (Hospital).

All of us have been working pretty much around the clock. As have the key docs and nurses. We'll be as prepared as we can possibly be. Our small hospital serves upwards of a quarter million people.

We made a significant additional investment in telemetry today to boost our ICU bed capability and our E.R. telemetry capable rooms. Additional ventilators were sourced last week. Still not enough for the volumes we may see. Processes have been put in place, training has been done, and our materials folks are desperately trying to source more PPE (masks etc). We've set up a fully equipped a COVID testing trailer with network and phone. Local utilities have been very helpful. Special triage areas have been established and equipped.

Options are being explored to help offset expected staff shortages as we get sick too. Elective surgeries have been put off of course. Beds cleared. Visitation eliminated except in extraordinary cases.

I want to type what we're really feeling, and to tell you what I see in the eyes of my colleagues. I'm not sure I can put it into words. I hope to God that those who believe this is nothing are correct. But I'm 100% convinced that we face a terrible struggle in the days ahead. We are acting based on first-hand healthcare worker's accounts of the experiences in Italy. If for some reason that doesn't materialize here, I would be forever grateful.

Rural eastern Oregon now has a toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and food shortage in the stores.

Governor has extended school closures to 28 April

Governor ordered all restaurants, bars to close to all but take-out, delivery, and curb side (many of our businesses are having to change the way they serve the community).

Governor's executive order to ban any assembly over 10 people.

No cases of the virus in our county.

I have TP from my last order a month ago, and have plenty of soap, drinking water (on city water), and food.

I have been requested to work from home which is interesting as I can't be productive due to VPN connectivity issues (too many people across the nation trying to access same VPN). I will go into work tomorrow and probably Monday to reconcile the government purchase card statement as I only have three working days to have it reconciled and turned over to my supervisor.

Here in Australia, the reactionary panic continues for toilet paper, paper goods.

Gluten free, vegan and vegeterian choices are still available.

Lots of signs in supermarkets, no bulk buy, one item per customer.

The footy was televised, no crowd. Weird, but enjoyed clearly hearing the players calls and the coaches screaming unintelligibly from the sideline.

Gatherings of 100 or more not allowed.
Sporting events, weddings, parties, engagements, baby showers, cancelled.

Volunteer Coast Guard, we still crew, but have cancelled our regular meetings and other events.

Some cafes - order online - offer a window service or deliver to your car.

The RBA (the Fed equivalent) cut the cash rate to 0.25% and will start printing money. One round left to go in the response. Gov't will throw small business a financial lifeline to the tune of a 50 $100 billion package.

No, don't regard this as a doom and gloom Aussie/US fella. Just what we are doing.

We will remember this as much as we remember N1H1 swine flu of 2009.

I think the now idle business people need to take a play from the SJW playbook, and organize a protest in Harrisburg. The threat of a few thousand, or maybe more, especially in this situation, might get him to back offf.

PA Gov. Fuckstick just closed all "non-life-sustaining" businesses in the state effective 8:00pm tonight:

https://www.readingeagle.com/n...19-276eabde3f5c.html

HARRISBURG — Gov. Tom Wolf is tightening his directives to businesses to shut down, issuing a dire warning and saying Thursday that all “non-life-sustaining” businesses in Pennsylvania must close their physical locations by 8 p.m. to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Enforcement actions against businesses that do not close their physical locations will begin Saturday, Wolf said in a statement.

“I had hoped for voluntary compliance so our public safety officials could focus on assisting with the crisis," Wolf said in a video statement. "Unfortunately we have not seen full compliance. We have no time to lose.”

Under Wolf's order, more than 150 types of businesses have been told to close their physical locations.

Wolf said his order would be enforced by state troopers, local officials, the state Health and Agriculture departments and the Liquor Control Board.

Businesses that fail to comply risk citations, fines or license suspensions, and "forfeit their ability to receive any applicable disaster relief and/or may be subject to other appropriate administrative action," Wolf's office said in a statement.

Criminal prosecution is also a possibility, with violators subject to fines or imprisonment, Wolf's office said.

Your signature contains the largest threat to America. It's NOT this virus. These "bailouts" only make it worse.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown
