Jeff YarchinWhen will the coronavirus arrive in the US? (Disease: COVID-19; Virus: SARS-CoV-2)
We are hanging in there at the pet store but not sure how much longer we can stay open.
For the past week we've been hammered with panic buying... 3 to 4 times our normal sales.
We use national distributers to fill the store. They can't keep up with this frenzy and we expect them to close at some point.
When we run out of customers and/or products we will close. We are following all CDC guidelines.
We are encouraging home delivery and curbside pickup. The next step is shopping by appointment, after that we are done.

Yes.
Well you can count on this if Obama was in office they'd be praising how quickly they are being developed and distributed, and say to have this many in the pipeline thus far shows the strong leader he is. Under his leadership the United States will join hands (metaphorically, cause gross) and fight through this unfair curse brought upon us
from foreign a nation by human encroachment on the natural habitat of the Asian cave bat.
You're right of course. In fact, I could imagine the Lib-agenda author writing that. But may I suggest this edit as likely to be added by his Editor right before press time..

A very informative article that does a good job of explaining why a disease that infects a large percentage of the population in a short time has severe effects on the health care system even if only a small percentage of infected people develop serious problems. If that is still unclear to anyone, I recommend the read.

New Orleans Mayor Issues Coronavirus Order Allowing Ban on Sale, Transportation of FirearmsNew Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell (D) signed a coronavirus emergency order last week allowing her to ban the sale and transportation of firearms.
She signed a follow-up proclamation on March 16, 2020, further emphasizing her emergency powers to “suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or transportation, of alcoholic beverages.”
The declaration declaring the mayor’s power to restrict gun sales and transportation says she is “empowered, if necessary, to suspend or limit the sale of alcoholic beverages, firearms, explosives, and combustibles.”

fpuhanI love the free enterprise system! I'm now hearing radio ads for office cleaning services that will "eliminate viruses" and more. Strike while the iron is hot, they say.
You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

KrazeehorseI take warfarin and go for INR checks about once a month. The lab is housed in the same building as my primary care physician. I get my number and go to his office where we sit down and he adjusts my dosage if necessary. I messaged him and asked if I could just drop off the results and he could message any adjustments, a virtual visit if you will. He thought that was a good idea so I'm not going to be sitting in a waiting room full of sick people.

ED treatment isn't an emergency brother.

Things in the Panhandle of FL are still 'meh'. Lots of food and stuff available, people keeping their distance but still working, mostly. I guess dinning rooms are closed, takeout / drive thru only, but I'd actually have to go out to find out for sure.

RightwireEverything is shutting down, people are panicking over the thought of getting this virus. Medical offices are cancelling appointments and procedures. How long is it going to be before people who don't have this start to have or have current conditions extend into the danger. Then what? We're going to have tens of thosuands in serious medical trouble that need immediate attention when this all lifts? What is that going to do to the curve?
