XinTXTexas Voters - Double Check your ballot if you vote straight ticket Republican
Just voted here, no problems. Though I no longer vote straight party as there are a couple local R pols that I won't vote for as they are total snakes. In those cases I either vote Libertarian or leave it blank. I won't vote for the snakes or a Dhim (but I repeat myself). But this area is solidly red, so they win re-election anyway.
But we use those machines with the little wheel thingy. They are a bit sensitive and it would be easy to mis-select something if you're not paying attention.

the_sandman_454This is precisely why fully electronic options are not acceptable for important things like voting, unless your goal is attempting to rig an election, in which case they're great.
I like the system in my county, you take a paper ballot, mark that, stuff it into a locked machine to scan and keep the physical paper ballot in case the computer results come into question.

83v45magnaWe used a paper ballot in my county this year. Then it feeds into a scanner. Voted a straight ticket on that one with no problems or worries. And the line moved fast.

tatortoddVoted this afternoon and there was less than 5 minute wait. I voted straight ticket Republican to see for myself, and during my double check saw that the machine functioned properly.

tleddyI voted in Florida on Saturday on a paper ballot. The ballot was read into a scanner...no ability to review the scan results. I asked the polling official and received a blank look!
I am concerned...

HK AgI voted straight ticket R this morning at the PVA&M location in NW Houston.
No issues, the slate system gives you plenty of chances to check your vote before hitting submit.
Another vote for Cruz in the books!
