Not me. I mean I hate CA but live hear in WA in earthquake (and volcano) country.
Tornadoes feel personal, like the finger of an angry god touching the earth blasting everything in its path.
Earthquakes are scary but just the earth adjusting and, if the building codes are up to it, not that bad (relatively on the personal scale) for all but the really big ones, and they are super rare.
I get the really big tornadoes are "rare" in the bigger picture, but one or two come along every season to really a) destroy peoples lives OR 2) be close calls and there are so many smaller ones every season.
YMMV.

GeorgeairI have a sister who moved to CO decades ago, one of her main reasons for staying was "no tornadoes".
Ha - joke's on you!
She still gets the other half - lower humidity.

bendableBack in eastern Iowa, we had schools that were built with " civil defence" areas.
Either designated hallways ore rooms in the basement.
Back in the early sixties they would cancel a school day or three but I don't ever remember getting sent home early. Not once.
In fact I remember trudging to second grade once, didn't see one vehicle in five blocks,
Tried three doors , all locked .
Pissed me off I thought it was Saturday, walked home , wanting to hurt something.
Oh! no school today!
Surprise!
