https://www.foxnews.com/us/cal...-killing-wife-police.

His home contained 47 'guns' and 27,000 rounds of ammunition - all legally held.

So why mention it at all? Seems a reasonable stash to me - although I don't have anything like that amount of ammunition, I DO have twenty-three guns, and I live in UK, as most here know.

This is exactly the type of even tempered, logically thinking person that we want on the bench Roll Eyes

Why mention the guns and ammo you ask? It feeds the agenda and sensationalizes the story. We all know a sitting judge shooting his wife in an argument isn't sensational enough.

I'm researching the 'net forknife murder news stories wherein they report the inventory of all cutting edge & pointy tools in the perpetrators kitchen, car, garage, basement, workshop, home office, etc.

Not coming up with many so far...

Actually he did make it into court, but not in a robe... most likely an orange jumpsuit....

Yep. One gun, one round, one rogue individual did the deed - 46 of those guns, and 26,999 of those rounds, were not involved.

Already setting up the defense. Was drinking at a restaurant, drunk. Wife “told him” to point a gun at her.

I’m surprised there wasn’t the “it just went off” claim.

Confessed to it via text, and out on bail the next day.

Must be good to be a judge…

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

From the linked article:

Ferguson and his wife were arguing at a restaurant on the night of the murder, the Orange County District Attorney's Office wrote in a court filing. Once they got home, the argument continued, and the wife eventually said something similar to "why don’t you point a real gun at me?"

Ferguson then pulled a pistol out and shot his wife in the chest."
She told him to do it, so he did. What's the problem?

Your honor, she asked for it and I always obeyed my wife.

No appeal on the docket today, just his own sin.

Sounds like it would have been more explanatory to report on his inventory of alcohol than his inventory of guns and ammunition.
