Burt Reynolds dead
‘The Dangerous World of Deliverance’ is worth watching. Mr. Reynolds suffered permanent back injury doing the whitewater stunt. His career was at a low when that job came up.

Who doesn't want to do that? And if not for the success of Smokey and the Bandit, would we have had the second greatest car ever, the General Lee?

Bert Reynolds:

"Clint Eastwood and I were fired on the same day.

"They told him his Adam's apple stuck out too far, he talked too slow and he had to get that chipped tooth fixed. I then said 'why are you firing me?' and they said 'you can't act!'"

"So we were walking to his truck and I said 'you're in a hell of a lot of trouble'… I said 'I'll eventually learn to act. You'll never get rid of that Adam's apple'."

Fun movies. Part and parcel of the '70s.

It's been a longtime but this was funny:

I enjoyed him in the Quinn Martin series from 1970, Dan August.

Two things bring me to tears. The unconditional Love of God,the service of the United States Military, past, present, and future.

I would rather meet

than a hollywood star!

When I was growing up, Burt Reynolds was the best part of going to the movies. He was the cool uncle you wish you had.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I would have loved to be on that set....as well as the Caddy Shack set.

Burt and Dom were great and the fellow that played the doc was a great character actor, that face of his was a blessing
