I'll miss him. Enjoyed his movies, campy as some may have been. He was in his prime ticket sales years shortly after I graduated HS. Remember drooling over a new silver '78-79 Trans Am of that genre.

Dated a girl who's parents partied with Burt.

Long time ago that was.

Near the end he was pretty crippled up and had trouble getting around.
I guess that is what football and doing your own stunts can do to you.

Yeah, he had some fun...Loni and Farah!!

He made a couple of fun movies in the mid 70s with the Gator McKlusky character.

I was a kid in the ‘70s so I grew up when Burt was a big star. Amazon Prime has a lot of his movies available including “Smokey and the Bandit”.

An interesting article about Burt and what he called the "love of his life" Dinah Shore...

The last couple decades were tough on ol' Burt. He auctioned off most everything he owned a few years back.

Can't take it with you, right?

Dang, we are getting old. I remember when my folks died a few back, thinking, "we're that generation now". Before too long it'll be our kids thinking the same thing.
