LA area thugs ransack Amazon Delivery Truck during Broad Daylight
Headline LA Times: Video shows local residents receiving multiple packages from a Amazon Truck,
However it's a bunch of West LA street thugs stealing things from the truck while the guys trying to deliver a package.
Watch the woman in the blue sweater get her purse stolen and knocked to the ground. Note the helpful Los Angeles people who rushed to help her up (hint none)
People driving watching this were more irritated that their commute was being held up than the robbery...
I honestly wouldn’t even care if someone started shooting all of them or began wailing on them with a katana and lopped off a few arms.

As passers-by see that the store is open they hop out of their cars, run across the street to get a surprise package to take home. It's free and not only is it not a crime it's an entitlement in the new free-range America. Oh, mY aching country.

Thanks for the fact check, does that mean it didn't happen?

No, but it happening during the largest rioting I've seen in my life is a bit different than if were to happen today.

The Amazon drivers around here, aren't the brightest of the bunch. Fedex and UPS drivers are largely solid and professional, USPS it runs the gamut, OnTrac and Amazon, you're getting the bottom of the barrel.
I'm not condoning this behavior, however I've seen delivery drivers get careless with securing their vehicles and contents, almost inviting the scavengers to take their cargo.

I'm amazed at the swarming affect. People not involved in the initial heist feel compelled to join in.

Broad daylight's as good as the thick of night when people watch and don't do anything.
Those Amazon bandits better not steal the P.G. Wodehouse novel I just ordered.

You're not primal enough, you need to think like an animal: when food is available, you pounce or, you loose and die. Survival of the fittest.

That's the key for me, too. It's quite a commentary on society today.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

A couple Asian business owners with AR's could have gotten that under control in ten seconds. This is exactly what the past few years have been about...normalizing and/or de-stigmatizing open theft and physical assault as simply a normal part of life. And from that video, I'd say its working.

Perhaps, but I can leave a plate of food unattended on the floor in front of my old dog and he won't go near it. He was conditioned long ago that the punishment made doing it unattractive. Hmmm, I wonder what the missing piece of this equation is?
