The NRA still hasn't publicly denounced WLP and his fleecing of the NRA.
Those that are still there are his friends. So, expect nothing.

There’s that. Additionally, at least as far as the board, if they come out publicly against him, it might sound a bit like, “That guy we hired and kept around turned out to be a dirtbag. No, we were not negligent at all in failing to notice this and keeping the crook around forever.” It’s kinda hard to puta good spin on that.

Just received my new NRA ballot in my magazine.
Voting for the new NRA 2.0
What is everyone current thoughts? Is this going to change anything at the NRA?
I get a lot of information from one candidate Frank Tait from Wayne Pennsylvania.
Does anyone have any insight on who he is?

Nothing will change until they get rid of all the old directors. A complete house cleaning is in order. Will it happen? Who knows?

Steve Dulan is a long time friend and a solid defender of our RTKABA. He will get 2 votes from our household.
But the old guard has to go.

The Board of Directors is way too bloated, and many are Friends of Wayne.

I have always been skeptical of the Board giving their 'recommended' candidates to vote for. Of late I have voted for all the candidates the Board does NOT recommend which is my way to shake up the organization to get it back on track...hopefully

I too just received my paper ballot and am looking for the right candidates.
In the past few board elections, various folks have recommended "vote for Joe, and no one else" to maximize the impact of a multi-choice ballot. Who is this year's "Joe?"

My take on NRA 2.0:
Wayne is gone {good}
New CEO has been been a NRA executive since 2014 which means he was there throughout Wayne's excesses and Ollie North exposing it. Supposedly a reformist.{neutral}
Current President is a loyalist to Wayne {bad}
Board is still 76 members which is the same board size that couldn't manage Wayne. {utter crap} I still believe what I wrote on page one:

Next, they have to get the 76 member BOD to 9 or less directors as a 76 member board rarely comes to alignment to give direction to the NRA executives. Numerous studies have shown that board of directors totaling 10 and above are ineffective.

NRA Director, Willes Lee, comes up on my X feed and he is attached to the website: ElectaNewNRA.com. They have a slate of candidates including Lee, against the old guard.
I’m inclined to go with these recommendations, but interested in any comments or alternative slates or groupings.

The hard part is all the candidates listed for the new board positions list many candidates and a bio with each candidate.
But none tells you if they are current or past board members.
How do tell if your voting for the old friends of the past NRA problems.

Same here. The NRA hasn’t got an ounce of the fight that GOA, NAGR, 2nd Amend. Foundation and FPC have.

^^^^^ That may be true, but many of us gun owners are long time NRA Members, and were long term NRA Members when the NRA was the only real player fighting the anti-gun extremists. Those people should stay involved and vote accordingly for the NRA BOD reform candidates. How can it hurt to have an additional organization fighting the anti-gun agenda. (assuming the NRA can get turned around by the reform candidates) I mailed my NRA BOD ballot yesterday. It cost me one USPS stamp.
