Hillary Clinton continued sending classified information even after leaving the State Department, The Post has exclusively learned.

On May 28, 2013, months after stepping down as secretary of state, Clinton sent an email to a group of diplomats and top aides about the “123 Deal” with the United Arab Emirates.

But the email, which was obtained by the Republican National Committee through a Freedom of Information Act request, was heavily redacted upon its release by the State Department because it contains classified information.

The markings on the email state it will be declassified on May 28, 2033, and that information in the note is being redacted because it contains “information regarding foreign governors” and because it contains “Foreign relations or foreign activities of the United States, including confidential sources.”

The email from Clinton was sent from the email account — hrod17@clintonemail.com — associated with her private email server.

The email’s recipients were Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, diplomat Jeffrey Feltman, policy aide Jake Sullivan, diplomat Kurt Campbell, State Department chief of staff Cheryl Mills, and Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

The “123 Deal” was a 2009 agreement between the United Arab Emirates and the US on materials and technological sharing for nuclear energy production.

“Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information was so pervasive, it continued after she left government,” Republican National Committee research director Raj Shah told The Post. “She clearly can’t be trusted with our nation’s security.”

Clinton is believed to have sent 2,101 emails that contained at least some classified information.

The timelines being requested for production of such a small number of documents by the State Department are fairly outrageous.

After one day of training, it is typical to have each person in an electronic document review complete 300-500 documents per day. For less dense email based reviews, that number could easily be in the 1200-1500 range. Per person. Per day.

After quality control measures and testing have been performed, redactions have been selected, and final production specs provided, it takes an E-discovery vendor 48 hours to prepare, Bates stamp, and TIFF/PDF each tranche to be produced.

The State Department is absolutely being unethical here and there is no justification whatsoever for the time frames they have requested.

Regardless of what may pop up in any newly released emails, that ship has sailed. There will NOT be any indictment, and barring that people just have no interest. I applaud Judicial Watch for trying to bring this to light, but unless she is hauled before a court of law no opinions will be changed. Comey will not suddenly decide she should be indicted.

A federal judge ordered the Department of State Wednesday to produce for The Daily Caller News Foundation the security training records of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her aide Huma Abedin within two weeks, or face direct deposition of multiple government officials.

“I’m sure you can appreciate Mr. Lee, there is a certain time sensitivity on this issue,” U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Leon told Department of Justice Attorney Jason Lee, representing the State Department. “We’re looking down the barrel of a presidential election from now in two months.”

Bill Clinton's staff used a decades-old federal government program, originally created to keep former presidents out of the poorhouse, to subsidize his family’s foundation and an associated business, and to support his wife’s private email server, a POLITICO investigation has found.


Taxpayer cash was used to buy IT equipment — including servers — housed at the Clinton Foundation, and also to supplement the pay and benefits of several aides now at the center of the email and cash-for-access scandals dogging Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

This investigation, which is based on records obtained from the General Services Administration through the Freedom of Information Act, does not reveal anything illegal. But it does offer fresh evidence of how the Clintons blurred the line between their non-profit foundation, Hillary Clinton’s State Department and the business dealings of Bill Clinton and the couple’s aides.

But even as the Clintons got rich and grew their foundation into a $2 billion organization credited with major victories in the fights against childhood obesity and AIDS — while paying six figure salaries to top aides — Bill Clinton continued drawing more cash from the Former President's Act than any other ex-president

The program supplemented the income of Clinton’s staff, while providing them with coveted federal government benefits, alleviating the need for the Clinton Foundation or other Clinton-linked entities to foot the bill for such benefits. Similarly, Clinton aides got the GSA to pay for computer technology used partly by the foundation.

An analysis of the records provided by GSA, combined with Clinton Foundation tax returns, found that at least 13 of the 22 staffers who have been paid by GSA to work for Clinton’s personal office also worked for the Clinton Foundation.

Her use of that system was dubbed “extremely careless” by the FBI director. Cooper continued working to maintain Clinton’s private email system — including advising her top aides Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills on attempted hacks — through at least 2012, according to emails released by the State Department.

During some of that period, Cooper was on the GSA payroll, drawing a federal government stipend from February 2011 through 2013, according to the records obtained by POLITICO.


At the same time, though, Cooper was working with Doug Band, a trusted Bill Clinton lieutenant, and Declan Kelly, a top Hillary Clinton fundraiser-turned-State Department official, to launch a global consulting firm called Teneo. It did lucrative work for foundation donors and entities with business before Clinton’s State Department.

Comey looks like an even bigger cop out artist than he did previously

Clinton's lawyers didn't tell the FBI that Clintons' emails had been migrated off of the Pagliano server onto another server. The FBI's "investigation" discovered this. Gets worse and worse

Clinton switched to a new email account in Dec 2014. Since the Clinton lawyers said she didn't transfer any of her old emails to her new account, the FBI did not obtain equipment associated w the new account. They took the lawyers' word for that ?

Clinton did not recall using a flip phone during her tenure at State. But Justin Cooper sais she usually carried one and used her blackberry and flip phone at the same time.

FBI identified 13 mobile devices which were potentially used to send her emails w her clintonemail.con addresses. The 13 devices were associated w her two known phone numbers.

Clinton told FBI that she used personal email and personal Blackberry for official business for "convenience".

DoJ requested the 13 mobile devices. Clinton lawyers replied they were unable to locate any of them. Thus the FBI did not examine any of the 13 devices.

Clinton lawyers provided 2 different Blackberry devices and said they might contain emails from 2009 to 2013. Surprise! The FBI found no emails from that time period on the Blackberrys provided.

Mills, Abedin, and Sullivan told the FBI they were unaware of the private server until after Clinton's tenure at State.


When Pagliano first set up the server at the Clinton home, he didn't know it was for Hillary.

In 2011, State employees were cautioned about security and records retention regarding the use of personal email. The notice to all State employees was sent on Clinton's behalf. It recommended employees avoid conducting State business from personal email because of information security concerns.

Clinton had no recollection of this specific notice.

I am reading the report slowly w a lot of breaks. this is hard to take. The report keeps indicating things that would scream out alarm bells in a classified matter, and also indicate that Clinton lied her ass off to the FBI. Even so it makes Comey's conclusion even more bizarre

"CLINTON stated deliberation over a future drone strike did not give her pause for concern regarding classification. CLINTON understood this type of conversation as part of the routine deliberation process."

"Clinton was aware she was an Original Classification Authority (OCA) at State; however, she could not recall how often she used this authority nor could she recall any training or guidance provided by State."

"Clinton could not give an example of how the classification of a document was determined"

"she relied on career foreign service professionals to appropriately mark and handle classified information"

this report could be quite an attack tool for the Republicans. Basically Clinton is a complete idiot

I skimmed the FBI document out today. Unfortunately it will not convince anyone on either side to change their mind. Comey is the big loser here... and justice, and America.

2 of 3 ipads were forensically examined. the 3rd was not as it was a gift to a staff member. That is a great cover. Not.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation released a summary of the July 2 interview it conducted with the Democratic presidential candidate, as well as other details of its investigation into her use of a private email server while heading the State Department.


Said the report, “Clinton said she received no instructions or direction regarding the preservation or production of records from (the) State (Department) during the transition out of her role as Secretary of State in 2013.


“However, in December of 2012, Clinton suffered a concussion and then around the New Year had a blood clot (in her head). Based on her doctor’s advice, she could only work at State for a few hours a day and could not recall every briefing she received,” the report said.

Yes, indeed. Not only does the FBI release this on a Friday, but they choose the Friday before Labor Day weekend. As if to answer the question, "Just how corrupt is the FBI?"

I think Trump or any politician for that matter could score major points for openness, transparency and accountability by pledging not to do Friday night document dumps and to release info or documents at the beginning of the week. Obama likes to pretend that he has the most transparent administration evah but he has mastered the art of the document dump when no one is paying attention.

On this week’s “Powerhouse Politics” podcast, Fallon promised greater interaction between Clinton and the press on the campaign trail and said he expects the Democratic nominee to hold a press conference soon.

“The amount of interaction can only go up," he said, noting that the traveling press will soon be flying with Clinton on her new campaign plane.

“I’m sure that will bring with it a lot of opportunities for additional access to the candidate and interactions between her and the traveling press corps that covers her every day,” Fallon told ABC News’ chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl, and political director Rick Klein on the podcast.

“We are very respectful of the press and the job that they have to do,” Fallon continued. “We have done a lot of interviews, but I know that no matter how many questions we answer in a variety of formats, it is the press’s job to always demand more access. We respect that, and so we’re going to seek further ways to accommodate that in the remaining months of the campaign.”

He later expressed confidence that the larger plane will yield greater face time between Clinton and the traveling press, saying, “She will interact with them to a good extent when we’re traveling with them on the same plane.”

He pointed to a variety of local media and national television interviews, as well as press gaggles on the road “from time to time,” as evidence of Clinton’s availability to the press and outreach to voters in battleground states.

Before that can happen, Clinton faces tightening poll numbers with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump as the November election approaches.

“It is inevitable that the race will even further tighten than what we’ve seen in the last couple weeks. There was no doubt that coming out of the convention, we had a pretty significant bounce,” Fallon said. “We always perceived that the race would tighten around Labor Day because once Donald Trump stopped committing unforced errors, he could probably get a little bit closer to consolidating the Republicans that defected from him, again, after he went after the Khan family and that would naturally mean that the race would tighten a bit.”

He said the Clinton campaign has not yet been contacted by Henry Kissinger or George Shultz, despite recent reports that the Republican former secretaries of state are considering a joint endorsement of Clinton.

“I don’t know what the basis is. We have not heard from Mr. Shultz or from Mr. Kissinger on this, nor have we sought their endorsement,” said Fallon. But he said the rumored endorsement is “testimony to the degree to which Republicans are fleeing the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency.”
