What we believe or decide has no bearing on what actually happens in this instance. You need to pay heed to Comey's latest remarks about the "timing" of the conclusion of the investigation.

sigmonkeyFrom the FBI website.
"
What We Investigate"
"Spies. Terrorists. Hackers. Pedophiles. Mobsters. Gang leaders and serial killers. We investigate them all, and many more besides.
The very heart of FBI operations lies in our investigations—which serve, as our mission states, “to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats and to enforce the criminal laws of the United States.” We currently have jurisdiction over violations of more than 200 categories of federal law, and you can find the major ones below, grouped within our national security and criminal priorities. Also visit our Intelligence program site, which underpins and informs all our investigative programs. ..."
FBI.
Federal Bureau of Investigation.
not
Federal Bureau of Inquiries. (I think that's a Monty Python Schtick)
Investigate. Not inquire. As in Investigating Crime. And they been at this one a while. Busy folks with busy schedules, not likely to be frivolously wasting time...
Inquire is what reporters do.
You would think someone running for the office of the POTUS would know the difference.

olfuzzyStill, more dirt.
A Daily Caller News Foundation investigation reveals that Bill and Hillary Clinton received at least $100 million from autocratic Persian Gulf states and their leaders, potentially undermining Democratic presidential candidate Hillary’s claim she can carry out independent Middle East policies.
As a presidential candidate, the amount of foreign cash the Clintons have amassed from the Persian Gulf states is “simply unprecedented,” says national security analyst Patrick Poole.
“These regimes are buying access. You’ve got the Saudis. You’ve got the Kuwaitis, Oman, Qatar and the UAE. There are massive conflicts of interest. It’s beyond comprehension,” Poole told TheDCNF in an interview.

PASigI do think Trump will have a much harder time going up against Biden than he would Hillary, so in many ways I'd rather see this all play out after Trump beats her like a rented mule in November.

It does, it just wants you to believe that there is nothing here to see. Move along.
In other news, it appears that Biden and fauxahontas are gearing up for a run. Sounds like the news might not be so good for the Clintons, well at least for Hilary. Bill will enjoy his freedom and screw himself to death.

lastmanstandingHillary playing coy with word games like calling it a security inquiry is serving to piss all these agents off I'm sure. Comey in particular. It's like calling a cavity search a health screening.
At this point I don't see Comey stepping up to a microphone and proclaiming no harm no foul on Hillary's part.
I'm willing to bet some of the rocks that have been turned over have some pretty ugly creatures under them.
It may very well come to pass that the improprieties concerning the cash flow into the Clinton foundation is what brings her down rather than any charges of criminal wrong doing handling classified information which she clearly has done.
Stepping down due to a conflict of interest with foreign entities donating to the Clinton foundation is deemed a disqualification for holding office sounds much better than being disqualified for espionage charges.
But you never know. As I said before if she does walk unscathed it doesn't matter who becomes the next president because the game is over.

sdyThe book "Clinton Cash" has been made into a one hour documentary film. First reviews say it is an effective attack about the corruption of the Clinton Foundation.
Now Wall Street Journal reports:
http://hotair.com/archives/201...off-clinton-charity/A new report from the Wall Street Journal reveals how a $2 million grant arranged by the Clinton Global Initiative went to a private, for-profit company owned by long-time allies of the Clinton clan.
The Clinton Global Initiative, which arranges donations to help solve the world’s problems, set up a financial commitment that benefited a for-profit company part-owned by people with ties to the Clintons, including a current and a former Democratic official and a close friend of former President Bill Clinton.
The $2 million commitment was placed on the agenda for a September 2010 conference of the Clinton Global Initiative at Mr. Clinton’s urging, according to a document from the period and people familiar with the matter.
The company is called Energy Pioneer Solutions Inc., and was founded by Nebraska Democrat Scott Kleeb who ran several times, unsuccessfully, for congress. But, according to the Journal, the ties from the Clintons and the multiple owners of the company are wide and deep.
An internal document from that year showed it as owned 29% by Mr. Kleeb; 29% by Jane Eckert, the owner of an art gallery in Pine Plains, N.Y.; and 29% by Julie Tauber McMahon of Chappaqua, N.Y., a close friend of Mr. Clinton, who also lives in Chappaqua. Owning 5% each were Democratic National Committee treasurer Andrew Tobias and Mark Weiner, a supplier to political campaigns and former Rhode Island Democratic chairman, both longtime friends of the Clintons.
The report also details how the Clinton Global Initiative helped secure federal funding through the Department of Energy for the company populated by Clinton Cronies.
Former President Bill Clinton personally endorsed the company to then-Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Chu obliged Clinton by granting $812,000 to the firm . Chu told the Journal he doesn’t recall the conversation with Clinton about the grant.
Mr. Clinton’s spokesperson merely said “President Clinton counts many CGI participants as friends,” and his wife Hillary, the leading candidate for the Democrats’ nomination for president chose to ignore requests for comment.

sdyAnother find by Judicial Watch
Read from the bottom to top to get the right time sequence.
Mills wants to talk on a secure line. Clinton says to call on her home phone.
Also note the date: 22 Feb 2009.
Remember this:
"About two months of emails from the start of Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state are missing, and federal officials haven’t been able to recover them.
An archive of records that Mrs. Clinton, the Democratic Party’s 2016 presidential front-runner, turned over to the State Department
doesn’t begin until March 18, 2009 , though she took office as secretary of state in late January of that year."

braillediverAs a practical matter- it's wort millions of dollars to the obamas post presidency to get rid of the clintons. If hillary wins the obamas would be relegated to second class status and not be welcome at the fundraising $ trough.

Il Cattivo^^^ Honestly, I think it just shapes the battleground for a fight that's coming anyway. No matter what, the caterwauling between those two camps is going to be intense and go on for a very long time. Expect to see television footage in 2033 of Chelsea Clinton and Malia Obama trying to beat each other to death with empty whiskey bottles on the roof of the Watergate Hotel.

You ask that question as though there were actually rules and law and stuff involved. The Dems don't mess with that petty stuff when they're off to save the universe. The only thing to look forward to is how unseemly a mess they'll make and how many Dems on the losing-ish side will suffer from teh butthurt forevermore.

Will the live event be on PPV or network television?

That depends on whether Republicans or Democrats pick up the right to air it.
