Marker or paint for rubber shoe soles Login/Join

I have a pair of shoes which have a blue rubber sole and edge. I need to make the edge black. Is there a marker or possibly a paint pen that will last? I also looked at shoe edge dressing but it seems to be for leather not rubber.

I have tried a sharpie and brushed on spray paint with unsatisfactory results.

Some edge dressing is only for leather, but they make edge dressing that works on rubber too.

For example:

or
