I can throw a rock in any direction and hit one, seemingly. Something that causes fires and other injuries seems like an odd thing for them to sell. Confused Job security? Razz

Novel concept, but I think it is great! I am sick to death of the government trying to put training wheels on everything. Fireworks is a bit of Americana. Come on, hold my beer and watch this, what can go wrong?

Now, I am all for holding people responsible for their screwups, but for crying out loud give them a little freedom.

Mixed feeling here....

AZ made them legal (no aerial stuff) a few years ago but only around the holidays. People seem to enjoy them and, in fact, I did a tent and made some quick money.

Where I have the issue is that right now, a decent portion of our state is on fire *lots of small fires) and it seems crazy to keep selling fireworks when you already have a wildfire issue.

The profit margin is Huge!! Hard to resist easy money. Only thing with a better return is probably gambling, and it seems the same type of people spend money that they don't have on it.

Nah. Sell cookies door to door. They do sell beefcake calendars featuring local firefighters in some locales. They are a big seller at bachelorette parties.

These guys work for free. Give me a break!

I am on the board of a volunteer fire department. We just bought a new fire truck for $360,000. That equates to 3 years of income. Without a bit of extra income, we would be in trouble.

That is IF they can read! How many each year blow off fingers because they held firecrackers?

Kid you not, we have a Weight Watchers sandwiched between a Chipotle and a Five Guys.
