Stocking up pre-election
Interesting timing of this article, was actually thinking the same thing, with Trump in office and, if he does go after the ATF et al what happens in the gun market...

If someone would have told me I will be able to buy 3 stainless 44 mags in 2024 for the price of that 66, I'd of course thought them nuts.

This response is not helping me keep my wallet closed. I just checked it again, they are showing $749. So if I figure it correctly, it is now $599 after rebate. Add tax and transfer, still under $700.

I’m ready to spend some of my hard earned dollars come Black Friday. Hopefully there will be some good ammo buys.

Last Black Friday I did my part to boost the GDP with rifle builds and ammo.

I am not BIPOLAR. I don't even like bears.

I was ok on ammo. But I decided to grab another 2.5k rounds of pistol ammo on Election Day. Just in case! I’ll shoot it anyway.

Common sense says to buy something when it's cheap / available . I believe it was after the Sandy Hook school shooting that I found myself extremely low on ammo . I had been intending to restock but kept putting it off . I got caught with my pants down on that one and vowed to never let that happen again . Since then my goal has been to always have enough ammo to keep up with my current rate of consumption even if they turn the faucet off tomorrow . For some people that would take a major lifestyle change . I get it . Myself , I think I'm good .

Stocking up isn't just for some moment in time. Stocking up is for ever.

When my Wife finds out how much ammo I have, she'll kill me.

The joke is on her though because by the time she finds out, I'll already be dead. I think she'll get a laugh out of that.
