So, the contest for Fan Photo of the Year took an interesting and unexpected turn today. Little long but please read.

By about noon there still was not a winner announced so I started doing some digging. I had received a notification on Saturday about the current contest, clicked on the notification and was taken to the contest page I had linked.

I went back to Facebook today and the notification I received on Saturday was still in my list but this time when I clicked on it I was taken to the main Fan Photo Friday page but the yearly contest was still there so I clicked on it and there was no winner indicated there. I then went to there Facebook page and started scrolling through their posts and wouldn't you know they actually announced a winner 6 days ago.

They only announced the winner on Facebook and Twitter but then never took the contest page down or updated it with the winning picture. Unfortunately my picture did not win but the Frolicking Goats was a pretty good shot.

I however will announce a winner and in fact there will be 2 winners. The Karma Picker picked comet24 as the winner and I am actually selecting bald1 as another winner since this shot was taken in your backyard.

Congratulations on the wins and I will be contacting each of you shortly for information so I can get prints ordered and dropped shipped to you.

Thanks again for all of the support from everyone even though we were all voting on a contest that had already entered.

I looked at all the photos and still yours is the best by far.
I can’t do justice to the picture by displaying it properly (all my walls are full of pictures), so don’t enter me in the drawing, but all the best.

“ Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one’s own understanding without another’s guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one’s own mind without another’s guidance.”
