Black Swallowtails. I have some of those catties on my fennel. It seems that the sex life of the butterflies was on hold for six months. I still hope to see Monarchs visiting the Cowpen Daises. A couple of those catties were snacking on Antelope Horn milkweed.

Believe it or not, caterpillar poop tea is quite expensive. Fennel herb tea is available at Whole Paycheck. Caterpillar poop fennel herb tea is a DIY project that I have considered. Would that be commercially viable? Maybe so. The shoppers of Whole Paycheck seem like they'll buy anything with the right blurb on the box.

Vegan. Fat-free. Organic. Gluten-free. Relaxing. Aids digestion. Ancient Secret Tea of the Hidden Masters. Dang, can't miss.

Throw "Detoxify" on there and they won't be able to keep it on the shelves.

When they show up on our parsley they usually get put in the hatchery where most grow up to be large dark blue to blackish swallow tail butterflies. Best use for parsley I have ever seen and provides the cat with a new target and regrettably a new food source.
