And.... Dispatch vs street cops:

(Seriously, though, I could never do dispatch. At least I get to occasionally drive fast and park like a dick....

You’d be surprised at the abuse it can handle within the right band and screen protector.

I can also occasionally drive fast and park like a dick too. Cool thing is when I do it, no one calls my employer to complain Big Grin

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I know this likely isn't a serious question, but I do favor some watches over others for travel.

I like to have a second time zone on a travel watch, so that I can keep tabs on the time at home. I'm never 100% unplugged from work, so I like to be a little more alert to email/text/phone notifications during business hours at home.

I also think a travel watch should be status neutral. I want to be able to wear it under a blazer if we end up watching a show or getting reservations at a high end restaurant, but I also don't want to attract attention and get robbed if we stay out late.

I also think that a travel watch should be cheap enough that you won't be too upset if you lose it, but look nice enough that you could give it as a spontaneous gift if necessary.

I’ve cruising those Glycine deals at Jomashop for a few months now. I bought this 48 mm Glycine Combat Sub ref GL0095 A month or two back and I still think I want me or two more, maybe a black PVD and a black dial and face 42 mm Combat Sub.
Here is the gl0095:

My favorite has been Fortis B42 Cosmos and I’m waiting for anther deal on those.

Lt. Col. Richard Hewitt of nutnfancy fame, just released a review of a Glycine watch. Looks pretty good to me. Also, I've never heard of the brand until this review.
