Long story short... Him and I work for the same company. I have talked with him on the phone briefly before but today was the first time I've had an interaction with him. He was absolutely the most professional person I have met in years.

In my ~10 years as a member here he is the first person that I have had the chance to meet/talk to.

Otto is a good guy.

He came to N GA and visited with us once.

He even went flying with SC. His most memorable statement was "Boy that sure is a short runway and that sure is a BIG mountain at the end of it."

I had similar thoughts at that airport. I knew that we would be able to depart safely IF nothing went wrong. I just kept visualizing an engine failure right after lift-off and thinking that there was absolutely nothing safe to do if that were to happen.

Otto and I had a ball while he was here!
He's a great guy!
I let him fly the Beech.

Thanks guys, I'm all blushing. Big Grin

qx, thanks for the getting all the work done on your side of the house as fast as you did. It was still a goat rope, but at least the paperwork and planning was solid. Lord knows the FAA has ended more pilot careers than the weather ever will.

You're quite welcome. I am glad to help.
