I saw a trail of light followed by a large flash in the distant night sky. I'm guessing a meteorite but how can I check what it was. Just curious what and how often it might happen. Was kind of interesting to see.
Is there some agency that tracks this kind of stuff?

It did hit the Earth. That bright flash was when it hit the ammo dump.
