I am all for getting some baseball started up.

Pretty interesting divisions. Maybe Bruce will get to play Atlanta as a divisional rival.

Not a bad idea. MLB is lucky in that they do have options to re-starting their season. Playing games in their spring training facilities would not be out of the ordinary and players would be familiar with the surroundings, not to mention a large number of players have their off-season homes in either states.

This would've been my 20th year attending spring training games in AZ, I'm always amazed at the number of practice/instructional ballfields littered throughout the Valley of the Sun. I think the only thing that exceeds it is the number of golf courses.

Yeah, I do believe we will have the MLB in some form yet this year.
Hockey-- not likely that we will have a Stanley Cup winner this year. Red Face

I thought I’d heard somewhere that the NHL was proposing to use current standings to go right in to the playoffs. All games to be played without fans in ND (I assume ND has numerous hockey rinks). Was that just a joke?

Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view.

No, I heard that too... but I'll believe it when I see it. But you're right... the NHL would hate to give up completely on the season. It sucks, either way.
/thread drift.

Chellim1,
Not sure if you are aware but the Orioles are running an ad on local tv with Bruce and another pitcher talking about staying safe with the Virus out there.

Given that agreement would require substantial concessions by the MLBPA, I'm not seeing it happen.

This virus thing shouldn't bother hockey, heck isn't the season like 18 months long? Smile
