Good evening, all. I visited the local university police department today to ask for fingerprint cards and the .EFT file. The experience was fun, actually, as I got to work with a fellow who has been with the department for a while and a very new officer. The new officer hadn't learned the electronic fingerprint system yet, and we had some fun working through the process. When I went to submit the .EFT file this evening (trying to do an electronic Form 1), I got messages saying that the Type of Transaction (TOT) must be "FAUF" and that the "transaction type was not found in the current verification file." I think I saw a dropdown menu of transaction types as we worked through the process today; I don't remember which code was chosen. Can a .EFT file be corrected/edited/amended easily? (Yeah, I opened it with Notepad, just to see what was in there. Is it odd that this file is simply one line of text, and only 1KB in size?) What's the solution? Am I going to have to go visit the PD and go through the entire process again? Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.

My EFT is around 400kb. I got it done at the FFL's kiosk that uses the ATF's software. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

That's more like what I expected. Thank you. Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.
