That has been known for at least 40 years or longer, I went to a retail store seminar on layout and they were setting up stores based on this years ago.

Surely it's more than that? I'd think 10 to 1 or more.

You are correct, Brave search says 9:1 is the general consensus.
I was thinking I saw somewhere it was not-quite-2:1. I've also had 3-4 lefties out of 10 on baseball teams I've coached in the last 5 years.

My correlation is even stronger with that number.

In the movie "The flight of the Phoenix"(1965) this walking tendencies was mentioned.
About a plane crash in the desert.
The crew decided to send two men walking to find help, so this officer explained they needed a right handed and a left handed volunteers so they wouldn't veer of course, because of this walking tendency.

It seems natural. Pushing off on your right foot torques you to the left. If your right foot is dominant, you will have a slight bias for turning left.

Airplanes, too. Most piston powered airplanes tend to head for the left side of the runway, as power is increased for takeoff.

When shooting steel challenge targets I can shoot all stages in a left to right pattern faster than right to left. I have timed myself multiple times going both ways on all eight stages.

I write and throw left handed but shoot right handed. Also left eye dominant but kick a ball with my right foot. Never mind, I am just screwed up in the head.

It’s more than that. As others have noted, right handers are more apt to mow a yard CCW than CW.

Serious about crackers.

I'd argue that it's the same phenomenon using the hands vs. the feet. But I also agree that there is more to it.

I'm the outlier. I go clockwise, but only because my bagger chute is on the right side. You can't get close enough to anything with the chute in the way.

It is long past time for a Convention of States. The Founding Fathers gave us this tool to fix an out of control government and we need to use it.

I guess its true, I'm right handed and I've alway circled counterclockwise 3 to fifteen times before finally laying down.
