Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg 'absolutely dead serious' about fighting in UFC Octagon, Dana White says

Twitter's Elon Musk and Meta's Mark Zuckerberg seemed to agree to a fight on social media, but many seem to think it's all fun and games.

However, it's totally serious, says one of the biggest names in combat sports.

UFC President Dana White told TMZ Sports he spoke to both multibillionaires Wednesday night and said that "both guys are absolutely dead serious about this."

When asked why White felt that way, he said that "they both said, 'Yeah, we'll do it.' They both want to do it."

White said Zuckerberg reached out to White first, asking if Musk was serious, so White contracted Musk, who then said he was.

If this bout were to happen, White says the amount of money it could raise would be unprecedented.

"This would be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world. Bigger than anything that's ever been done. It would break all pay-per-view records. These guys would raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charity. You don't have to be a fighting fan to be interested in this fight. Everybody would want to see it."

"The biggest fight of all time was Floyd Mayweather and Conor [McGregor], I just think it triples that. I think it triples what that did. There's no limit on what that thing can make. … Everybody would watch it, everybody would want to see it."

Zuckerberg practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ), while Musk has done martial arts, BJJ and was in "plenty of fights growing up in South Africa," says White.

The potential contest appears to have started when several Twitter users, including Musk, commented on a report about Meta potentially working on a Twitter-like application that would be a direct competitor to the platform.

When a user pointed out that the Meta chief trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and warned Musk to "be careful," the Twitter owner said he would be willing to step into a cage with him.

"I’m up for a cage match if he is lol," Musk tweeted.

Zuckerberg replied on Instagram, saying, "Send Me Location" – a nod to UFC's Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Musk looks to be in horrible shape...he's going to need a serious camp.

Honestly I want to see Musk punch zuk in the face and knock him out. Don’t really care for either but I can’t stand zuk.

Andrew Tate has told Musk that he'd train him.

I've seen footage of him in some comps. I think last footage I saw was white belt footage. Where I think he podiumed or won his division. So he's either a solid white belt or blue by now. Saw some footage of him training with Mikey Musumeci. Who's a hell of a grappler.

Musk has what appears to be a scar from a cervical ACDF surgery on his neck. Probably a seriously bad idea to grapple or MMA for real after a fusion.

I have no respect for Zuckerberg at all, but I’m sure someone’s going to pull Musk aside and explain that he’s not allowed to hazard a brain which has billions/trillions? Connected to it.

Teddy Roosevelt was in various combat sports his entire life, and was almost seriously injured while President. (Admittedly, TR was doing some kind of stick combat, I think, but bright amateurs and combat sports seems like a very bad idea.)

I wish Musk would win. Unfortunately he’s a fat out of shape workaholic and would gas out in less than a minute and then get choked out. It would be embarrassing for him. Zuck recently won an amateur tournament at 150lbs. Even though he’s smaller his training and cardiovascular conditioning would make this an embarrassing venture for musk.

It’s not going to happen though. Can you imagine how nervous the stock holders would be. Money is always the winner.

Not a fair fight. Musk would have to train. All Zuckerberg has to do is have his handlers upload martial arts software into his central processor, and deactivate his Asimovian safety protocols.

Musk is 51, and that is a serious handicap over a 39 year old. But, really, who cares?

It's Thunderdome rules or they're both wussies.
