I've been appreciating Dave Rubin's video compilations lately as they address short attention spans and are more likely to be viewed. Little jab, jabs to make a point in an arena of 30+ min. videos that get passed over. The whole videos can be sought out later.

“Truth to power” is an often overused phrase; if only Robert Woodson’s words would be heard by those in positions of power and influence in the Democrat Party. _______________________________________________________ despite them

Why is this appearance significant? After all, the man says little to nothing we don't already know- that we don't already know. It's significant because of where he is saying it. Something like 75% of Dr. Phil's viewership is female, ages 18 to 49. You can call me a chauvinist if you like, but the kind of people who watch Dr. Phil are not intellectually curious; they are the kinds of people will also watch The View. They are satisfied with obtaining their view of the world from people who state it flatly and from one perspective only and who vehemently reject any other points of view. When Dr. Phil's viewers hear things like the comments from Woodson, some of them will be moved to think a bit, and perhaps even to investigate. Some of you will scoff at this, no doubt, as being folly, but perhaps this might serve to broaden the narrow perspective of Dr. Phil's viewers a bit. It's certainly better that they were exposed to it, rather than not. You can lead a horse to water, and all that...

Step by step walk the thousand mile road |
In the movie The Wild Geese is an exchange between two characters, Coetze, a Boer who is using this mission to earn enough to buy farm in South Africa and Limbani, the deposed African president who Coetze was there to rescue. I believe this is one of the most unknown, yet greatest exchanges in the history of cinema. --------------------------------------------------------- [It starts as they argue during a break] Lt. Pieter Coetze: We whites have carried you people on our backs ever since we came to this country. Julius Limbani: It's the other way around now, is it? Lt. Pieter Coetze: Is it? You need me to save your miserable black life now, don't you? Julius Limbani: I do. And then you may need me to save yours. We need each other, white man. And that's the way it should be. We've got the whole world using us now. Setting group against group, destroying Africa. Our new freedom is just a new label for their brand of slavery. And a final blood bath is coming. First between black and white, and then between black and black when you whites have left Africa for good. Lt. Pieter Coetze: Man, we've built your countries, and now you're kicking us out or almost all of them! You're living on foreign aid, robbing your own people blind, crying about outside oppression while you kill each other in great big bleeding batches. Once you have something better to offer, then you can come talk to us in the white south. Julius Limbani: We both have something better to offer. Listen to me, because the white south is next unless you learn. Lt. Pieter Coetze: Oh, bullshit! We whites were born here. We're just as African as you are. And don't make a mistake, we're going to stay. Julius Limbani: I'm glad to hear that. Then you better join us, and help us sort out our future. Lt. Pieter Coetze: Join you? Julius Limbani: We have to learn to care for each other, or there will be nothing left of our Africa but a burnt-out battlefield. Lt. Pieter Coetze: You have a point there. But do you have an answer? Julius Limbani: I have the will to look for one. We have to forgive you for the past, and you have to forgive us for the present. If we have no future together, white man, then we have no future. That's what I believe in, and that's what I'm willing to die for. Lt. Pieter Coetze: You're beginning to sound good to me. Maybe we need you. Maybe you're just the man. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Both die to bring Africa to a new place. It is just a movie, but holy Hell does that scene resonate with me. Even today. Nice is overrated "It's every freedom-loving individual's duty to lie to the government." I have read and listened to Tom Sowell and Walter Williams extensively. I was not aware of Robert Woodson. Thank you very much for posting this. ____________________________ "It is easier to fool someone than to convince them they have been fooled." Unknown observer of human behavior.

This was well stated and the more receptive ears that hear it, the better. I am also glad that Mr. Woodson got respectful silence to make and support his case. I don't think every moderator/audience would have given him the opportunity to calmly and rationally explain those insights. Kudos to Dr. Phil.

Thanks for the clip. The audience was certainly quiet by the gentleman's remarks. Another clip, some may have heard this, is Bill Cosby's "Poundcake Speech" in front of a black audience at a NAACP event in 2004. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG5r5ByCbMI "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965
