There are a lot of benefits to this unit. It is small, doesn’t require recertification and the contents won’t settle like most fire extinguishers.

It's not really in a bag, but I keep a lot of stuff stashed in my Suburban, because that's the vehicle we take on long road trips. Off the top of my head:

Tool box with basic hand tools, wrenches, sockets, etc. I also have spare fuses and bulbs in there, and even a few common failure parts for my vehicle. I've done plenty of roadside repairs with this, and it has saved my ass more than once.

Bluetooth ODBII scan tool

Spare serpentine and AC belts

Battery jump pack

Recovery strap

Small compressor to inflate tires

Spare fluids (motor oil, tans fluid, coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, penetrating oil, etc).

Small first-aid kit

Fire starter

Bug spray

Cheap wal-mart Ponchos

Atlas and detailed paper maps of the areas we are visiting

Phone chargers

When we go on a trip I always make sure we have at least a case of water back there, too.

There's probably more, but that's what I can remember right now.

I'm not a firefighter, so I can't recommend any particular type.

I have a rechargeable ABC in the trunk. My thinking to have it was not only for my sake, but in case another driver is in danger. My reasoning for storing it in the trunk was to prevent it from being a projectile in the cabin, should I be involved
in a violent collision. In hindsight...

I'm looking at the ones smlsig linked, to mount one inside. Small, and readily accessible, so I can fight my way out.

Also, not pressurized, and better suited to stand up to the temperature swings inside a vehicle. Plus it uses gas, so cleanup after the fact is easier, and collateral damage is lessened.

It makes for the ideal vehicle extinguisher.

Lots of positives, with the only real negative being the price.

I don't know if this will help, but ... The other day, I went to the wife's SUV to check the charge on her device.

I looked and looked, but could not find it. She swore she had touched the charger, so I went back out and went through her SUV again. Just as I was about to give up, I remembered her vehicle had a couple of storage bins tucked into the panels in the back. Sure enough, the charger was tucked into one of them.

I need to search the cargo area again tomorrow.
