For dinner I like Lockland Table (East Nashville) Sea Salt (downtown) Miel and Answer ( both in Sylvan Park).

I second Merchants. Their duck fat tater tots are amazing.

The roof top bar at George Jones' place is pretty cool if it's not too crowded. It is open air so it is really great if it's not too hot. Check out the Farm House over by the Symphony. Great food, local ingredients. Merchants by the Ryman has great cocktails. Their tater tots were wonderful. For something off the beaten path, Skull's Rainbow Room. The prime rib is great and the entertainment is unique.

Go Vols! |
For a full meal reasonably priced I like The Old Spaghetti Factory downtown. That American Pickers store is worth a visit if you are familiar with the show.

The distillery next door is even better for a visit than the Pickers place.

Great suggestions, everyone! Thanks and keep them coming! Speaking of distillers, I'm planning a stop at the Jim Beam distillery south of Louisville, on my way down. Parking at my hotel isn't cheap. Is there a city lot where I can park cheap and just leave the car there?
