Partial dichotomy |
Having been around for 106 years, you've certainly seen much more of life than the rest of us. Would you mind giving us a little rundown on the life you've lived? Some of the things that have really moved you? Suggestions to remain healthy and happy?

I thought the 6 month increment piece would be the big hint. No worries. I am 53. 106 6-month increments is 53 years. And I drink entirely too much bourbon and beer to be giving advice on living a long and health life.

I’d be disappointed to read that; I took his post at face value. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

His post did indicate that he was counting a birthday every six months, but you had to read it carefully to catch the meaning. Kind of a sly joke. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

6guns, thanks for the smile this thread gave me today. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
