I’ve been happily married for a long time, but almost came to grief buying the wrong brand not long ago. It took a long time to go through the wrong stuff, since we buy those things at Costco. We had always bought Charmin, a detail I had neglected to notice, and will ever hereafter.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Why? This is what we started using.
Not good for septic systems as it doesn’t break down apparently.

Since I posted I used my Google fu and it looks like a wives tale. Snopes did a small article about it and had their results. Some other sites also say it's a myth. IDK.

The Canadian stuff plugs septic systems. Maybe the US stuff is different?

Not in the bowl, in the tank. If things are out of whack, you may be flushing with less water than normal.

Jim a while back we had a heck of a problem with our anaerobic system....basically roots that had overgrown, entered and occluded the system.
A full and expensive day of cameras and roto rootering and drainage eventually fixed the problem.
We then had to add something to the system every month to help control the problem.
We're now on sewer....and we still have to add crystals to the system periodically to keep down the potential root problem

Thanks, doc. Nice to hear from you. Hope you are well and happy.
I’m not sure how the pipes are run here. The ground is essentially solid rock below just enough dirt to grow weeds. It could be something like that, only beginning to affect one fixture.
We’ll know tomorrow.

Is the bowl an assembled unit? Or a single casting. If assembled, the joints can fail and the poop passage can lose syphon.

I know everyone has been waiting anxiously to learn what the plumbers found today.
Not much. Everything checked out, they did some checks, watched the action, checked both bathrooms, observed the drains, etc. Everything was nominal. It was insinuated that maybe someone was using it and overloading it now and then.
They suggested I could put in a new commode with larger pipes.
They did run an auger, I think just for show.

I'll comment to a friend that she has to flush her fancy toilet a second time after large deposits even if it looks clear from a single flush.
I think what was happening was that it appeared to flush clear but was not really 100% flushed. Then a second bomb upon the first = clogged toilet.
If the Wonder Plumber could load up the bowl with seven large handfuls of TP and get it to flush fine, and do that test half a dozen times in a row with no issues, it is probably clear.
