I have never been to a professional football game before. I am not a huge sports fan, but I will watch football if I have the time. We know a multi billionaire and he offered us tickets to his luxury suite this Sunday. This suite costs around $35,000 per game and has open bar and professional chefs who make different appetizers all throughout the game which are free. We are going to go as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have read all of the security rules and know you basically can’t bring anything into the stadium other than your phone and a point and shoot camera. I am just curious if there are any tips on going to the stadium, things to see while there since this will be a one time thing, or any other tips. We have a free parking pass for a lot right next to stadium.

We plan to drive in and out for the game and not spend the night. We plan to get to the stadium two hours before the game starts to check out the stadium and relax before the game. Originally he was going to fly us up in his private jet, but he is sick so he won’t be going to the game.

First things first. Relax. Enjoy the game. Some years ago I won a chance to sit in a corporate suite(Verizon) at a Redskins game. Open bar, tons of food, great view of the field, suite was temperature controlled behind sealed glass, and the best feature? His & her bathrooms no more then 5 steps away as nice as can be.
As opposed to 6 bucks for a questionable looking hotdog, 10 bucks for a semi cool beer, squeezed in tight in extra small seats, and standing in a long ass line to use the bathroom while missing a good part of the game. And your billionaire's suite will probably make a corporate suite look like a one room apartment compared to a mansion Enjoy the game. Eat,drink,be merry.

Go have fun. Take pics for your friends to be jealous of.
I got invited to a SF giants luxury suite once by my neighbor who worked for the company who owned it. Thankfully I’m a huge giants fan. The bathrooms on the suite level were cleaner than my house. There wasn’t a private chef but all the food and drinks were gratis.

I’m more intrigued by the casual, “yeah I’m friends with a billionaire”. Lol. Nice friend to have!

I've been to a couple Cowboys games. Hardest thing is to keep yourself from just watching the giant TV above the field. You're at the game... watch the players not the TV!

I agree with getting there early. I've never had digs like you've got but I have had some good seats for big games and I always tried to get there as early as I could herd my companions. Soak up all the experience you can. Take a few pics and post them up if you get the chance. Smile

I have been in 2 college boxes and 2 pro boxes. You are right. It is a whole lot different than sitting in steerage. Easy to forget most of the game and get caught up with conversation and food.

Assuming it's in Arlington at the "Jerry Dome" then you're in for a treat. I went for the '17 Cotton Bowl and it's the nicest sports stadium I have ever seen and the most expensive concessions I have ever seen (no worries for the luxury suite though). Just the regular lounge area was very nice so I cannot imagine how nice the luxury suites are.

The only tradition you might not be aware of is the unlikely event the Cowboys win, everybody in the luxury boxes kicks in a $1,000 each for charity. Usually some exclusive group like the ddoTrotaT Foundation that only the ultra-rich know about Wink

One thing I do know is the Cowboys have lost the last few games so it would be nice to see them win, or at least be a good close game regardless of who wins. I love the idea the suite has its own bathrooms inside of it so you don’t have to go to a busy bathroom elsewhere. I will definitely post some pics on Monday.

If that is the tradition, then unfortunately I will have to break it. Razz I have a feeling the Cowboys won’t win though. No matter what, I will enjoy the experience.

I have no clue. I have heard from others who have been that there may just be a couple of people. I would think since he is not going then it may be less than normal, but I guess we will see. I am obviously hoping for the least amount of people.

My how things have changed. In ‘69, the company had season tickets for the Cowboy games. The boss and a couple of us would watch the Cowboys play in the old Cotton Bowl stadium while eating the bucket of KFC we brought to the game.
Yea, we remembered our manners and did something nice for the clean up crew. We stowed all those field stripped bones in an empty bucket.

We all would like to see your name placed on the Sigforum Ring of Honor. You could make that happen with a Cowboy cheerleader karma. Big Grin

I have been to "Jerry's House" once, to watch the high school state championships last year. I was amazed at the size of the overhead video screen. Really nice stadium, the only modern football stadium I have been to.
