I think it's nice to see a guy enjoying his work and being able to laugh at little setbacks. Big Grin

Here in the Atlanta area there have been several cases of store employees shooting customers so that guy is taking chances trying to instigate responses from the employees. Smart employees would just hang up, no response and I bet he would have stopped calling.

This is what employment looks like in America. Everyone aspires to be a tik tok'r

Yep, intentionally irritating fast food workers to get clicks. Completely vapid and devoid of virtue.

A few years ago, a Sigforumite coined a great phrase about messing with fast food workers "sometimes the counter is there to protect the customer"

The context was 2 loud mouth wastes of oxygen with no impulse control got angry over an order issue and made the mistake of going behind the counter. It was after midnight, and one of the employees was an ex-con who beat them mercilessly with a steel bar used for the fryer (YouTube won't allow this to be embedded). Very few people are prepared to fight with prison rules.

What struck me as funny was the reaction of the workers, especially when they sent their hit-man out into the parking lot to throw a drink at the guy's car and paw at his window.

Normally, I agree with leaving wage slaves alone, but in this case, they did seem to have the luxury of retaliation without suffering any consequences.

Calling them repeatedly qualifies as harassment, but throwing a drink in his face at the drive-thru qualifies as battery, if not assault, and opens up their employer to a lawsuit.

Quite frankly, I think things would have gone much more smoothy if they had simply put a girl on.

Of the 6-13 telemarketing spam calls I get every day, I have time to mess with a couple of them, 'stead of just hanging up.

This is gonna be great!

A) I wonder what would have happened if the Taco Bell had actually put a girl on the line;

B) I think that fella needs a more productive hobby. If he had gotten a whoopin', it couldn't be said that he hadn't earned it. Wink

God bless America.

Even better, it's entirely possible that those two Taco Bell workers are in on it as well, and it's all faked between the three of them for social media clicks/"clout".

There's so much of this on the internet these days that it's where my mind went to first.

The drive through workers are a captive participant due to the nature of the business they work in. The only way to stop the "trend" of involving drive-up employees in these videos is non-engagement. If they don't get a 'rise' out of the employee, it's not worthy of being posted so the "trend" will die out.

I’m sure you’re right, but the smartalec in me thinks they should have said, “How DARE you assume my gender?!!!” and hung up on him.

Pretty goofy, seems like a funny exchange because the prankster had shit thrown at him he didn’t cry about it. The irritated person was able to lash out at the prankster and the prankster seemingly knew he’d eventually get some. Only time these things bother me is when a prankster gets a real bad reaction or violent reaction and they get upset about it. If you’re going to do goofy shit like this, you better laugh when the prankee lashes out at you even if it means you gets fucked up.
