Hi,

Never been to a waterpark (amusement park) with slides and such.

Any tips on how to securely manage things assuming I have no one else to depend on?

1) What do I do w/ wallet, keys and such that I don't want to get wet while on the rides / slides? I'm not sure I trust lockers or even keeping in the car (and then there is still the problem w/ the car keys). Just bring ziplock baggies and keep in my pocket?

2) What do I do w/ suncreen, towels and dry clothes and such while I'm on the rides? Do they usually have lockers or something? Seems like it would be too much for each person to have a locker...... Or maybe just keep in the car and keep going back and forth as needed?

Any tips?

Lockers are what we use. They are electronic and seem pretty safe and secure.

Some people carry cell phones, cash, keys, etc. in those "waterproof" cases with an attached lanyard. I'm hesitant to put a $1000 iphone in one of them, but lots of people do.

Small backpack with phone, wallet, water bottle, towel, sunscreen etc. In locker for the day. Carry a id & credit card with you and the locker key in a ZIPPED POCKET in your swim trunks.

Go to locker every 2 hours or as needed, also might want a quick dry type t shirt and some tiva type sandles.

In car have extra towels, dry change of clothes if not in backpack.

lockers, and keep essentials on my person. essentials being credit card, towels, sunscreen, maybe cell phone. Take a beach bag for these items. Each slide/ride will have cubby's or an area to put your stuff while you ride. You'll just need to trust it's safe while you ride.

i recommend leaving the pistol in the locker too Smile

Thanks guys. Sounds like I can expect lockers are readily available for bulky non-valuables. I’ll keep wallet and phones in the car.

Carry CC, cash, DL and keys in ziplock bag and in a zippered pocket.

Lockers and a flat fanny pack. I keep an ID and medical card along with cash in the pack. None get damaged by water.

At the Great Wolf Lodge, you get a wrist band tied to yiur credit card. That also opens your hotel door. No need for "stuff." That said, it's dang expensive. Frown

Sea world in San Antonio had a bank of lockers you paid with your card, there was no set of cubby’s near each ride to stow your gear like towels and flip flops...we just parked our flip flops outside the ride and I have cable leash on my glasses.

I kept my card in a pocket and nothing else.

We brought a beach or pool bag for sunscreen, so it sat Un-watched when we went on a ride.

And one note, flip your flops over so the feet side are hidden from the sun and don’t burn your feet when you return

It's been years but I remember lockers. This was a small water park section inside a large park. We just threw our stuff in a locker when we did the wet stuff.

Last water ride I was on they actually dispensed small waterproof plastic bags you could put your things in and tuck into your jacket.

Do what I always did: Give all your stuff to your Mom to hold. She'll find a spot in the shade to sit, and you can just retrieve anything you need when you stop by every so often for a snack and to have her put more sunscreen on you.

I missed it...

I suspect when you go down the water slide and hit the bottom you might lose your change....
