Legalize the Constitution

I would have just stayed where I am and the truck ahead of me would get the hint from the truck behind me. Unless the truck behind me was driving erratic, chances are he wasn't going to hit you.
Not only was the truck in the left lane unable to complete the pass, the lead truck in the right lane was actually inching ahead of the passing semi. I agree, “chances are” he wouldn’t have hit us, but a long row of 10.00 x 22s to our right and nothing but grill behind, tends to make one a little jumpy. I wish you well in staying put in a similar situation.

I have no idea what that is. We’re talking about OTR truckers. Just for your education though, the state of Nebraska is not flat; the Platte River Valley is. That’s why the Oregon Trail, the Mormon Trail, the Union Pacific RR, US 30, and ultimately I-80 all followed the River—availability of water and easier travel. The Platte Valley is all that most people have seen of Nebraska. I said that the incident occurred in “panhandle Nebraska,” which is out of the valley and anything but flat, in fact the state, except for I-80 along the River, is anything but flat.

Point taken. I guess I did come on too strong. My apology

I've been on that road many times. There is a simple solution the the problem of trucks trying to pass on a grade and holding up traffic for miles. All it takes is for some moron at DOT to pull his head out of his backside and start a policy banning trucks from the left lane on grades exceeding 1.5%.
I've stopped counting.
