Thumb's up here. Made me smile. I was the old fashioned guy down on one knee.

Isn't that one of those questions in life you don't ask unless you know she's going to say yes? Big Grin

Women are genetically predisposed to say yes to that question. A guy would have to be a real dousche and deserve it to get a no.

I came in prepared to not like it but since it was family and friends (supposedly) I liked it.

Kinda weird that no one came up and congratulated them though.

That was great. She was just blown away.

That was pretty cool. Mrs DF and I got married waaaaay before the innerwebs and social media thing. We got engaged quietly on a beach at sunset near Asilomar, Ca. It was quiet and intimate. She cried. She's still crying lol Big Grin

Nicely done! I went overboard with my proposal also but I have to say this was very creative and thoughtfully planned. I proposed to my (now) wife at the New Years Eve fireworks show by the lake in Zurich Switzerland. I truly didn’t think she’d say no but as I look back I’m glad she didn’t for many reasons, the first being it would have been a really awkward remainder of a trip. We’ve had 14 wonderful years of marriage and two beautiful daughters since that night. I did set a high bar though and find it difficult to compete with that moment for future special occasions.
