My big question has alway been If we know where they are and are up to no good, why didn’t we strike them long ago, preemptively ? ?
Even here in the states ask any even marginally dialed in street cop- they know where all the bad guys hang and where the stash houses and meth labs are.

The news story presented a few days ago stated that after the attack on the US soldiers, the Syrian military with US support conducted some raids. These raids produced the intelligence that was used to locate the targets then struck from the air.

ISIS needs to be destroyed. Target them and drop from the air explosives. There is a very large prison full of these dangerous, a worry is that they will be let loose to continue their quest to destroy the West.
