Went with a sound bar, dad was ok with headsets mom not so much so, Picked up a Vizio soundbar with sub at costco for $120 and installed it this weekend.

I think it will do the trick as they have one of the samsung tv's with the speakers that point down out of the back of the case. The sound bar focuses the sound straight toward them and has seemed to solve the problem.

Plus no BT lag or training issues.
