We had cardinals build a nest in an evergreen shrub inches from my home office/quarantine window. For the past few weeks I have enjoying having the mama calmly watch me as I checked on her from inside the house. I just noticed the nest is broken up and on the ground with no sign of the eggs or hatchling that hatched yesterday. I am sad about this.

On the other hand, I am not sad about recently taking out the woodchuck that had taken up residence under our deck with a well placed shot from my .177 caliber air rifle.
