What brought you to SIGforum?
I was thinking about shooting uspsa and google landed me in a doctoral thesis on the game in the Forum. Haven't strayed far since.

Sig Forum has lasted me longer than uspsa/

I was looking for my first Sig and bought a CPO p229R 9mm from Ordnance Outsellers here in the classifiedS.

A real boring and cold midnight shift in a cruiser. I have admired and longed for Sigs since I was a kid. So I went exploring on the internet. The rest as they say "was history".

I was looking for information on the P229. I believe I did a search on Excite!

Conversely, I was doing research on my first SIG, which was the gun my agency told me I was about to start carrying.

The markings on my JJ P226. I wanted to know what they meant. Then, as time went on, I added a Navy, 2 P226 STs, a bunch of 220s, a 229, a 228 and a 2nd W. German P226. And my SP 2340 and a P227.

I was trying to find information on the practical differences between the P228, and P229 in 9mm.

In 2003, before the seemingly endless iterations of the P229, it turns out there was no real practical difference, just some very minor technical differences. However, I did enjoy finding lots of good discussions here.

I was watching a YouTube video about something Sig related and the guy mentioned SigForum.com so I surfed on over and have been hanging out ever since.

My husband. I was moving away for a few years, and he convinced me to join. It was another way of keeping us connected. And it helped to have other folks to learn from regarding the snapback of my 232. I think it was Jane... of the lovely, well groomed fingernails.

Bought my first Sig, a P239, and wanted to know more about it. A google search led me here. I've been lurking around here ever since.

I use to hang out at the Smith and Wesson Forum. When Para came over here I gave it a try and liked it....and stayed. I loved the occasional "melt downs". Just added a bit more interest, if you know what I mean.

I came here because of Para, who owned the S&W forum at one time. I'm a member there because I own several S&W revolvers.

I'm a member here because I like how Para runs this forum.
I don't own any Sig firearms.

I had just bought my P228R, and didn't know anything about it at the time.

I got it because I always heard how great SIG's where, and I just got the first one I saw that I liked the feel of.

Wasn't until I posted here for info about it that I learned about how the P228R came about, all the different sub-types, etc etc... Mine is a triple-proofed one from Germany, and had I not learned here that that was a little unusual, I may have inadvertently sold it or something when money got tight.

Thankfully I didn't, and it's still always within arm's reach.
