"Special Day" Karma >>>> WINNER = MrToad <<<< *** MrToad, please respond to my email ***
We all have had many special days through our lives. Tell us about your special day. It doesn't have to be your most special day ever. Just a special day. The Karma Picker will determine the winner sometime in April.

Prize: Revenant Arms Sig Sauer P228 I put together that was written in THIS THREAD. I've subsequently replaced the old mainspring assembly with The Sig Armorer's Superstrut Mainspring System. The trigger is now lighter and so much smoother compared to previous. You will love it. Haven't shot it since the last range report. What you see in pics that I just took are what you will receive: gun, 3x 13-rd factory logo Mec-Gar made mags, P228 manual, TSA sticker and the factory red cardboard box (obviously not original to the gun). Mag capacity-limited winner will receive the package without the mags. Sorry, I do not have any 10-rounders.

Good luck!

My most recent special day was one wherein both my spouse and I left the hospital after severe cases of COVID. My spouse was on the hospital ”bad floor”, the one from which most did not go home.

While she has permanent lung damage we made it!

A special day to me was June 4 1994, the day my divorce was final. 23+ years of mostly agony but I stuck to it for my kids.

December 31st is a day that the wife and I celebrate yearly since our first date was on that day in 1987. Time goes by quickly, make good use of it and enjoy life.

A pretty special day for me was 20 July 91.
It was the day I got sober.

Was back in the early 80's, no cell phone or Garmin GPS stuff at that time, just maps and a compass. Decided to take the Big Sky trail from West Yellowstone, this is in January, temps range from -30 to +30F from night to day.
Girlfriend and I were riding Polaris Indy snowmobiles, carried extra fuel but ran out due to the 12" of snow that fell overnight.
Middle of no where, it's getting dark and cold fast. I will never forget the couple that rode up and helped out. We were near a parking area 10 miles from the main highway, they left their sleds there and trailered our sleds 40 miles back to West Yellowstone, never wanted anything for doing it.
They were the only other sleds around, I consider it a special day that they were.

I've been blessed with lots of special days in my life. I'll list the one that impacts me daily. October 20, 2018, the day I married the love of my life after 30 years apart.

Thank you for the opportunity.

Just three weeks ago. My divorce was finalized. So happy to be released after years of purgatory.

Also 1/20/24 which was the day I was introduced to the person I will marry next.

November 21, 1971. The day I "caught" the special one. Fifty-three years so far and hoping for many more.

Thanks for the chance.

Awesome Karma!

I'd have to choose October the 12th of 2003.

I haven't owed anybody since then.

October 13th, 1992. I witnessed a miracle that day, the birth of my first child. I felt the same for my second and third children but Sarah was the first miracle.

She currently has two BS degrees, two MS degrees, and a PHD and is the most brilliant person I personally know. She is an advanced chemist at E.& J. Gallo Winery.

July 24: Married my wonderful wife, 15 years ago this year
August 31, September 16, August 23: Births of my 3 kids

Everything else pales in comparison a bit.

My special day just passed. Thursday on the way home from work I assisted in giving CPR to a lady who was struck by a car. She survived, and it is due in part to the CPR that she received.

Another special day was this past Valentine’s Day. It was the day that we paid off both cars. No more car payments is a very nice feeling to have.

Friday, July 2, 2004 The “official” first date with my wife.
Tuesday, August 8, 2006 our wedding day.

This year will be our 22nd 4th of July together.

Q, thanks for offering such an awesome and generous karma.

Thank you for a chance at this wonderful Karma!

Like many here, I have been blessed with many special days with family and friends throughout my life, and I am very grateful for that.

Yesterday was one of those special days in my eyes -

My almost 17 year old daughter, who is always very busy with school, athletics and spending time with her friends, put on some ‘work’ clothes, eye protection and an N95 mask, and helped me to fully demolish an old hot-tub using a corded sawz—all, a crowbar and sledgehammer!

She handled the sawz-all like a pro.

She was a great help to get everything cut up, and then move the many pieces to a pile in the driveway for pickup

Not a glamorous activity or what one would think of a ‘fun’, but a truly “Special Day” for me.

October 29, 2000. The day my ex-wife came out when I was mowing the lawn and said if I quit smoking I could get a new motorcycle. Haven't smoked since, and that is the only good memory I have or her!

Or maybe Jun 2 last year, when I felt bad, called EMS, rushed to the hospital for my cardiac cath and ended up on a balloon pump in the ICU for 3 days, and went back to work the next Monday. That was a gift I'll never forget.
