Same here. I didn't see the machine there when we took our grandkids a few years ago, but the standard penny press is prevalent throughout the museum.

StorminNorminYup, San Antonio zoo used to have them. I remember getting something from it, but I don’t recall what it was.

chongosuerteUsed to ride the train to a zoo somewhere in Florida. From DeLand to maybe Sanford? Late 80s.
They had one of these that made animals. I had an elephant for a long time. Still remember it coming out hot.

hbablerThis is the best article I have found on it. The San Antonio zoo still has one in operation. Their website has a list of locations. Be warned if you are a nerd and like to hop from story to story the atlas obscura website could be a huge time waster.

sigspecopsI've never seen one of these, I didn't even know they existed.

chongosuerteHa...they evidently still have the one at the zoo in Sanford. Might take my kid there to let him get his own this summer!

I had one of these too along with one with three chimpanzees mimicking see no evil, hear no evil speak no evil, I think this came from the Brookfield zoo in Chicago as well.
They were fun to watch being made, seemed they could get brittle fast though.

SecurityGeekI loved these. I also remember my Mattel Strange Change machine which was kind of the home version, with replay capability (sort of) -

bronicabillYep... I had a Sinclair dinosaur once. Somewhere in a big box is a B&W photo of me sitting on the back of a dino when the display came to south Huntsville back when I was quite a little boy, the day I bought my Sinclair Dinosaur.... ahh, the memories! LOL
